As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App ExposerGL for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used the app PhotoToaster to edit the image. The edits were made by applying the Lomo filter to the image. Next I used the same App to edit the image a little further, this was done by adjusting the brightness with the warm preset. I also added the Cross Cut FX, the Canvas Texture and a Large Black Vignette. Finally I used Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Karma Texture.
The original photo was taken this morning at the London Road Cemetery in Coventry. The image is of the Nonconformist Chapel. This is one of two Chapels in the cemetery that are both Grade II* Listed buildings. There are also a few other structures in the cemetery that are also Grade II* Listed. The Chapel is a classical Temple style building that has two storeys and a basement. The Chapel was built this way because Nonconformists preferred their places of worship to be more classical and having an uncluttered interior. The chapel was constructed in 1847 by John Taylor who also constructed the main boundary wall that fronts London Road. The chapel has suffered quite a lot in it's history. Soon after the chapel was completed, lead is stolen from the roof. In 1884 there was a fire in one of the side wings. The building was badly damaged during the Second World War and was abandoned as a chapel. In 2006 vandals set fire to the chapel. The roof and timbers were completely destroyed along with the whole of the panelled interior. English Heritage and Coventry City Council worked together to replace the roof and make the building secure and removed the graffiti from the walls. The Chapel now looks closer to how it did in previous years.
The Chapel is classed as a Grade II* listed building. The Chapel is number 8 on my list of 24 (Grade II*) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph.

The palmetto trees in this image came from a photo I made in 1998 at Hunting Island State Park in South Carolina with my first digital camera, a Casio QV-10. I transferred it to my iPhone and made edits using five editing apps; Superimpose, AlienSky, Reflect, Distressed FX, and Snapseed.
