A snowy late winter scene taken with my iPhone 8+, edited with Snapseed, BeCasso, DistressedFX and iColorama on an iPad Pro using Apple Pencil.
#MobileArtistry is creative edits, beautiful images, unique perspectives, stellar shots, and happy accidents. IE, stuff you won't find on the pop page.
Through this ongoing project we hope to expose people to art and artists they may not normally get to see, learn about one another's process, and encourage each other to push the limits of creativity.

Inside a forest dream / the white dove / holds her truth #micropoetry
I’m so grateful and honored to be featured by @mobileartistry and I’d like to thank the administrators for facilitating this tag and especially Will @computerjones for his support. I’ve learned so much from all the featured artists here and truly appreciate how everyone shares their techniques.
I’ve always been obsessed with light, shadow, and anything macabre. Most of my editing is done later at night, in bed, lights off, and when I should be asleep. Most times, words come to mind while I’m editing a photo and I include them as micropoetry. It takes me forever to get anywhere as my car stops continually on country roads, during overcast days or at sundown.
I use my Iphone 4 (almost) exclusively. My favourite apps are Snapseed, LensLight, Noir, DistressedFX, ScratchCam, and Hipstamatic, including its SwankoLab. Through MobileArtistry, I’ve just discovered TapFX and I’ve used it on my feature photo. Hope it’s enjoyable. Here’s the process:
Hipstamatic: Background with James lens and C-Type Plate film (using the mirror to view and snap)
TapFX: Added doves and smoke. Starting with small doves inside the mouth, then gradually increasing the size to make them appear closer to the viewer.
Camera +: Square cropping and applied the ‘pinhole’ FX
PaintFX: applied lip colour and painted ‘contrast’ over the entire thing
TapFX (again): small points of light on doves and ended with the Vintage filter
I took this at the train station last night ... was snapping pictures with my camera and iPhone while the plow was driving around me lol. I think we ended up with at least two feet of snow!
I added a texture from Distressed Jewell from the pack she made specifically for the phone (DistressedFX).

I always like to explore new apps. I was introduced to Bluristic, but never really played with it. This time I was standing in one spot, and kept my iPhone 11 Pro stable, opened up Bluristic, and captured multiple images of joggers running along the boardwalk. Once I saw that I had fun images to edit, I later edited on my iPad Pro in Snapseed, DistressedFX, colorama app and Imageblender app. As you can see, I maintained the cool imagery of movement with a blurred image and also created an aura of joy.
The image for today was taken this morning in the Cathedral Quarter of Coventry City centre. The view which was taken in the Ruined Cathedral of St Michael is looking towards the Altar in the Sanctuary area. On top of the Altar there is a replica of the cross made from charred roof timbers that were found in the rubble the day after the Cathedral was destroyed in the blitz during the Second World War. Today's service of remembrance ends here in the ruins with a combined English and German Choir as well as Clergy from both countries. I am so proud that my youngest Daughter has taken an active role in today's service, singing with the Coventry Cathedral Girls Choir.
The photo was taken using the app Cortex Camera on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped and Straightened the image and applied the Tonal Contrast filter. I then boosted the Contrast, Saturation, Ambiance and Shadows, as well as decreasing the Highlights. I also added a little extra Structure and Sharpening to the picture. Next I used the app Stackables to apply the formula called Ancient Ruins. I then used DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Sentiment texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Clarify preset, the Stark FX and a Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Old Paper texture and the Leather frame.
As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App ProCamera for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. This was done by cloning away all of the pylons, electrical overhead wires and the Cars from the background of the image. I also used the same app to crop the image to make the bridge more of a feature. I then used the app ShockMyPic to make the edges blend in better. After that I used an app called Photo Copier to apply a reproduction of the tone, texture, grain and detail of the artist Van Gough's painting called - Starry Night. I then used Distressed FX to add some extra texture to the image using the Egret overlay and the Sentiment Texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add a Soft Dark Vignette. I also used the same app to apply a Canvas texture and add the Shadow II frame.
The original photo was taken Today at Hawkesbury Junction. Looking over from Coventry Canal towards the beginning (under the Bridge) of the Oxford Canal. I was really lucky as about an Hour after I took the original photo it started to rain. The rain lasted for most of the day after that.
Loved seeing this little family spending time together at Lake Atalanta.
Processed with snapseed and distressedfx for iPhone, taken with my Nikon P520.

The photo was taken using the camera App ExposerGL for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used a filter from the app ExposerGL called Miami Sunset, this was to give the sky a golden look (the same as yesterdays image). Next I used the app called Handy Photo to perform a little restoration on the windows of the building. I did this by cloning away the boards with the upper part of the windows. I also deleted the crossing bollard and the more modern parts within view of the building. I used the same app to crop the image into a square and give it a dark Vignette. Finally I used Distressed FX to add extra features and texture to the image using the Birds Soulmate overlay and the Vanilla Texture.
The original photo was taken late this afternoon. It is of the building that is known as the 'Old Grammar School'. However the 'Grammar School' was originally a Hospital. The original building was constructed during the middle of the 12th Century by Prior Lawrence of the Benedictine Monastery of St. Mary's Priory (Coventry's First of Three Cathedrals). The building was known as the Hospital of St John, it provided help and shelter to the poor and sick of the area. During the middle of the 14th Century the Hospital was rebuilt as the sandstone building that we see today. It was ran as a religious site until the reign of King Henry VIII, when It was closed down during the dissolution of the monasteries. The man sent to close down the Coventry monasteries on behalf of the King was John Hales. He then purchased the site for £400 on the condition he would start a Free School in the building bearing the King’s name. John Hales was already using the old Whitefriars friary as the first King Henry VIII School before he moved the School to this building. It is said that King Henry VIII's daughter Queen Elizabeth I visited the School on her trip to Coventry in 1565 and supplied a donation for the upkeep of the building. Over the years part of the building was knocked down so that the road outside could be widened. This was renamed as Hales Street. The King Henry VIII School was moved to its present location in Warwick Road (third site for the School) in the mid 1880's where is remains to this day. Sadly the building has remained empty for over 20 years and is in need of some major repairs. As of March this year planning permission was granted so that the repairs can be carried out. It has also just been announced that the Coventry Transport Museum will be taking over the building to repair and convert the site into an educational extension for the Museum.
The building is classed as a Grade I listed building. The building is number 11 on my list of 19 (Grade I) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph.

The photo was taken using the camera App Mattebox for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. This was done by cloning away the small thistle at the bottom of the image. I then used an app called Gradgram to apply a blue colour tone to the sky and highlight the grass using a preset called Evening Calm. After that I used Distressed FX to add some extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Lade Texture. Finally I used the app Laminar to apply a Dark Vignette, a Caquelure FX and the Snap Stack frame to the image.
The original photo was taken this afternoon in Coventry. The view is of a group of Three Thistles blowing in the wind. They were growing in an overgrown field near to some shops, not far from where I live. The field used to be a small common parkland but is now soon to be sold off by the local council for housing development.
Today's image was taken late this morning in the town of Kenilworth. It is a view of Kenilworth Castle. This time the photo was taken from another angle. It is an image taken from the side of the main Carpark at the edge of the Castle.
The photo was taken using the App Cortex camera on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Lightroom to edit the image. I cropped and straightened the image and then applied the Dynamic colour preset. I then used the Dehaze feature and a little clarity and noise reduction to help boost the contrast in the sky. Next I used DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Bliss texture. I then flattened the image and then applied the Birds as an overlay and the Charm texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Warm Preset, a medium dark vignette. I then added the Slate texture and the Leather frame.
