Depth over distance every time, my dear

And this tree of ours may grow tall in the woods

But it's the roots that will bind us here

To the ground

Depth over distance was all I asked of you

And I may be foolish to fall as I do

Still there's strength in the blindness you fear

If you're coming too

If you're coming too

Hold on, wait until that lone sun

Breaks from the arms of the Lord

Hold on, though we may be too young

To know this ride we're on

Depth over distance was all I asked of you

And everybody round here's acting like a stone

Still there's things I'd do, darling, I'd go blind for you

If you let grow sometimes, let it grow sometimes, let it grow

Just let it grow sometimes

Hold on, wait until that lone sun

Breaks from the arms of the Lord

Hold on, though we may be too young

To know this ride we're on

Hold on, though we may be too young

To know this ride we're on

Depth over distance every time, my dear,

And I may be foolish to fall as I do

Still there's strength in the blindness you fear

If you're coming too, hmm

If you're coming too

Hold on, wait until that lone sun

Breaks from the arms of the Lord

Hold on, though we may be too young

To know this ride we're on

To know this ride we're on

To know this ride we're on

Sieben kecke Schnirkelschnecken

saßen einst auf einem Stecken,

machten dort auf ihrem Sitze

kecke Schnirkelschneckenwitze.

Lachten alle so:

"Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho!"

Doch vor lauter Ho-ho-Lachen,

Schnirkelschneckenwitze-Machen,

fielen sie von ihrem Stecken:

alle sieben Schnirkelschnecken.

Liegen alle da.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

With the Taransay and Macleod's Stone in the mid distance. You can just see Sodhaigh Beag and Sodhaigh Mor in the far distance.

I was attracted by the way the foreground curve matches that in the mid-distance.

Thank you for comments, awards and faves!

Chinese New Year was upon Bangkok and a romantic, rose-laden tunnel was erected in front of Siam Paragon. I caught this unlikely couple sharing a moment in the tunnel, knowingly or not.

A local cafe recently reopened.

A long distance migratory bird species from Europe / Parts of Asia and some of them winter in South East Asia / Parts of Australia. They are migrants in our region and seen in good numbers around March / April and when they are making their journey to their destinations.

The past couple of years we are not seeing them much, but the last winter maybe around 20 of them were seen in a lake just 20 mins from my place. During last winter there were huge flocks of other waders birds still around and the place is perfect for photography with the light exactly behind the photographer in the mornings. Another a couple of weeks almost all those waders disappeared - now there are only Stilts and cormorants in that place.

Thanks in advance for your views, likes and feedback - much appreciated.

This shot taken on my summer holiday in January, 2002 with my little Canon 2.1 Mp point and shoot camera. A beach that disappeared into the distance was like a dream come true back in those days. Retirement was my best career move ever, now I have more beaches than I could ever dream of.

In the distance are the beautiful Howgill Fells, which now all fall within the boundary of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The beautiful little town of Sedbergh is just out of shot on the left of the picture. The River Clough is in the valley below, and this will shortly join the the River Rawthey. At one time this area was in the West Riding of Yorkshire, but was transferred to Cumbria in 1974. After more changes, Cumbria is now simply a Ceremonial County with no administrative role. It's far too boring to describe the new arrangements, so I'll continue to refer to Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The patio furniture is out again and the boys enjoy the sun on the veranda - with their usual distance, of course...

Waiting for Neowise Comet. Taken from Rocky Butte (Portland, Oregon).

Went to visit the northern pygmy owl the other day because the light was so much better with no shadow. Unfortunately he wasn't in a cooperative mood and stayed far away. I was hoping for a flight shot so I kept the shutter speed high, In the end he flew away from me to go down into the valley.
