We went to Legoland Windsor's Scooby Doo themed fireworks display last weekend and they were fantastic. I began by thinking I was never much good at capturing firworks on photos but would have a go to leaving feeling more than happy with what I had got. Well done Legoland for a great display.

Stonehenge Visitor Centre and Neolithic Houses Display
"Five Neolithic Houses furnished with replica Neolithic axes, pottery and other artefacts, reveal the type of homes that the builders of the ancient monument might have lived in four and half thousand years ago.
The dwellings situated just outside the visitor and exhibition centre, are surprisingly bright and airy spaces and consist of a single room measuring five metres on each side with white chalk walls and floors designed to reflect sunlight and capture the heat from the fire. When fires are lit, the smoke from the hearth filters up through a thatched roof – knotted or tied straw carefully secured onto a hazel woven frame. Around the walls stands wooden or woven furniture – beds, seating, storage and shelving.
Volunteers are on hand to talk to visitors about the houses and to demonstrate the daily activities of our ancestors, from grinding grain with a quern and a rider to making rope out of rushes.
The Neolithic Houses help to reconnect the ancient stones with the people that lived and worked in the Stonehenge landscape. Visitors can step through the door of these houses and get a real sense of what everyday life might have been like when Stonehenge was built.
The recreated houses are closely based on the remains of Neolithic houses discovered during excavations in 2006 and 2007 at Durrington Walls, a large ceremonial earthwork enclosure, just over a mile to the north-east of Stonehenge. Radiocarbon dating showed that these buildings were built at around the same time as the large sarsen stones were being put up at Stonehenge, in approximately 2,500 BC.
The houses have been built by a 60 strong team of English Heritage volunteers – under the guidance of experienced staff from the Ancient Technology Centre - using authentic local materials: weaving hundreds of hazel rods through the main supporting stakes, thatching the roofs with wheat-straw, and covering the walls with a daub of chalk, hay and water. In total over 20 tonnes of chalk were used as well as 5,000 rods of hazel and three tonnes of wheat straw.
The first phase of the Neolithic Houses project took place in spring 2013, when three prototype houses were built at Old Sarum over nine weeks. This enabled the project team to test ideas about the materials and methods used in constructing the houses. It also resulted in a core of trained volunteers who along with new recruits went on to build the houses at the new visitor centre. Many of those who have been involved in the build, are going on to work in the houses as education and interpretation volunteers, to help bring the past to life for our visitors.

The 1941 Pere Marquette 1225 is the largest steam locomotive in the collection of the Steam Railroading Institute (www.michigansteamtrain.com) in Owosso, Michigan. It currently operates as an excursion train with special trips scheduled throughout the year. In June, the train stopped in Mount Pleasant on its way north.

Times Square at Night. Signage is mandated by zoning ordinances that require building owners to display illuminated signs, the only district in New York City with this requirement. The neighborhood actually has a MINIMUM limit for lighting instead of the standard maximum limit. Officially, signs in Times Square are called "spectaculars", and the largest of them are called "jumbotrons". This signage ordinance was implemented in accordance with guidelines set in a revitalization program that New York Governor Mario Cuomo implemented in 1993.
Times Square's first environmentally friendly billboard powered by wind and solar energy was first lit on December 4, 2008. On completion, the 20 Times Square development will host the largest LED signage in Times Square at 18,000 square feet. The display will be 1,000 square feet larger than the Times Square Walgreens display and one of the largest video-capable screens in the world.
On the 50th. Anniversary celebration of Kuwait Constitution...here are my series of shots in the fireworks event that was held in the long costal road of Kuwait, from the Kuwait Towers down to the Green Island Park on November 10,2012 at 8:00 p.m., it took more than an hour of Pyrotechnics display that cost more than 4M. kuwaiti dinars ($14M.) and it puts them in the Guiness Book of world record.
Before the start of the Kuwait-Brazil football match, spectators were entertained with a lovely firework display.
