Just got some new display cases at the store and a designated section devoted to just Lego. Its nice to have a place to display my stuff where its not taking up space in my building area.
My wife, my brother and I visited the North Carolina Rural Heritage Center in Laurinburg, NC. The museum is in the former foundry where John Blue Ag equipment was manufactured.
This close-up shows the metal background that the magnetic puzzle pieces adhere to. This display was not cut with a machine; it is entirely hand cut. The print on the plex had to be mounted and then the plex cut out to fit the pattern. The edges were all hand sanded and polished. Nice huh?

A display made when children started back to school after their Summer holidays. A photocopied postcard frame was used. Children drew the place and addressed it to me, ( trainee teacher then). Those who didn't go away drew/wrote about something they did or would have liked to have gone to.
A 1969 Ferrari 512S on display in the pits before the race. Taken durng the 2008 Rolex Vintage Festival in Lakeville, Connecticut. This car was used in the 1971 Steve McQueen movie, "LeMans".
The Shuttleworth Collection "Spring Air Display" at their base at Old Warden, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, SG18 9EP, United Kingdom on Sunday, May 3, 2009. The world famous Collection of over 40 historic aircraft (all in flying condition), cars, motorcycles and carriages is housed within eight floodlit hangars, including a garage and coach room. Because of gusty conditions, the worlds' oldest airworthy aeroplane - the Bleriot X1 Monoplane 1909 - did not fly, but the published line-up for the day included:

The event also included the Alfa Romeo Owners' Club (AROC) "Spring Alfa Day". More than 1,500 Alfa Romeo owners and enthusiasts attendedted and the event saw a fine display of iconic and evocative examples of the marque from the past 70 years. The actual Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B racing car in which Richard Shuttleworth won the 1935 Donington Grand Prix was magnificently displayed in hangar 5, and an area of hard-standing outside was set-aside for vintage cars. Quite honestly, there was too much to see, do and photograph in just one day!
A fine outing, and one that will be repeated!

Colin Mierisch's no.24 on Display near the IGA Supermarket in Castlemaine. The railway was promoting their "Pick My Project" entry.
The railway is competing to win funding for their project to build a scale replica of Maryborough Station.
The project is in conjunction with the local Lions club and would see VCAL students from the local High School involved in the build process.

Phase 4 of Steel City LUG's evolving display at S.W. Randall's toy store on Smithfield Street in Pittsburgh. This phase features a televised cooking competition that pits two teams of aspiring chefs against one another as they cook for a beachfront wedding banquet.
Display at the newly-opened Newton Heath and Moston Metrolink Station on the St Werburgh's Road-Oldham Mumps Line showing tram times......in this case all for Oldham Mumps.

The Spanish air force displayteam were out practising their routines yeterday. Luckily we were in prime position to see them whilst taking coffee at the L''Encarnation Hotel. They fly out of San Javier airport which is a military airport in the mornings and civil in the afternoons.
