Quanti momenti di confusione nel mio cammino, quanti sè e contrario di sè si accavallano, tutto procede con ordinato disordine verso l'obiettivo della vita.

White-faced heron (Egretta novaehollandiae) pauses in its hunt for food in the Beree Badalla mangroves, here the tangled debris of trees, branches and aerial roots broken and twisted by summer rains. Grace and beauty among disorder.
backwards; upside down; where do things go straight?

Okay, so I put a little effort into tonight. :)
Are you happy? ;-)
So glad it's Friday. Had just one crappy week, and no, still don't really wanna talk about it. Just one of them things. All is well, so no worries, I'll just keep it to myself this time.
Off of that, I'm wearing red today in honor of Daz* who finished his 365 today. *applause*
hee hee. He rocked the 365, no doubt about that.
And of course for TOTW ~ tiny words which is incidentally now an actual group.
How cool is that. :)
Meh. So I'd better get things picked up and in order. My house is, ironically, in disorder.
*hugs and kisses*
goodnight.

Random fact de jour: I have my second tattoo drawn, and it will be very, very soon now.
Elly Sallingboe's 'Sally B' is the only Flying B-17 in Europe, perhaps even the only one outside the US.
These days the aircraft carries the identity of 'Sally B' on the left side, while the markings of 'Memphis Belle' is still present on the right side of her nose since her appearence in the Warner Bros. 1990 film.
The person peeking out of the window is pilot Peter Kuypers.

Tic disorders are characterized by the persistent presence of tics, which are abrupt, repetitive involuntary movements and sounds that have been described as caricatures of normal physical acts. The tics can become violent or embarrassing as seen in some cases. Complex motor tics involve slower, longer, and more purposeful movements like sustained looks, facial gestures, biting, banging, whirling or twisting around, or copropraxia (obscene gestures). Tourette's disorder is three to four times more common in males than females. Tic disorders have been reported in people of all races, ethnic groups, and socioeconomic classes.

alright, so ive officially decided all the crazies go to Florida. First the bi polar guy who lived down the street from my grandma who gets himself shot and killed shouting he has a bomb in an airport, now this .
Its actually quite interesting to me being in the midst of this project about mental illnesses... the mother claimed her son had been diagnosed psychotic (so he was not mentally stable). This was his first 'episode'. Yet he was shot and killed upon the police's arrival at the house. Shouldnt he have been admitted to a mental hospital? It almost reminds me of Changeling. Its all quite strange... my grandma actually knows this guys older brothers. Small world.
bytheway, this was one photo, not 3 merged together.
day 130
When I’ve had some spare time, I’ve been working my way through the 12 DVD of Cornish photographs from this summer (I'm now up to 8). And along the way I have been selecting the ones that I feel are worthy of displaying. But there have been many that I'm not sure about and I’ve been sitting on this one in particular. Its been in my to do list for some time now, but I have mixed feelings about it.
On the positive side I love the light, I love the setting sun, and I love the leading curving lines taking you into the distance. But I’m not keen on the sea (I wished I’d taken a longer exposure to smooth out the distance) and I’m not keen on the composition of the rock to the right. I feel it’s too heavily balanced to the right and it desperately needs something on the left to balance it out. I did take a landscape shot of the same scene, but the bottom felt lost to me and I wanted to keep the curving leading lines.
The evening I took this Cathy and the kids were in the pub about half a mile behind me and I arrived here not totally sure as to the tide. It had gone quite far out but was in a unamenable place for me to find a composition that I liked. This is about the best I could come up with, but when I was there, I felt very frustrated. I knew that it was a great sunset, but I couldn’t find a more balanced composition, in the ten minutes or so I had to take it before the sun went down.
Funny this sunset thing, in mid summer because of the angle of the sun’s trajectory, you don’t have much time before it quickly disappears down below the horizon. In winter the light stays good for much longer because the sun is hitting the horizon at a much lower angle to the 90d it does in mid summer. I suppose you have the advantage of warm weather and late sunsets eh, can’t have it all (o:
Ho yes if any of you out there know northern France, we are looking at going there this summer (instead of Cornwall which is our usual haunt) id very much appreciate some inside knowledge of places to stay (small simple campsites near the beach, without too many people on them and definitely no club house). We have very simple needs and mine are even simpler. Ho yes the beach has to be west facing, as I'm not too good in the mornings in mid summer (o:
P,S. One of my images has just been seen on channel fours picture this. ‘Cracking stuff Grommet!’, or should I say ‘Sean’
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. They believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people's feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

ignore my stupid facial expressions...
ive been accused of being narcissistic, because i take self portraits. i could go on and on about how much that bothers me, but i wont. because i am going to go watch NCIS. :)(stupid freaking Burn Noitice took NCIS's times :( eff Burn Notice.) And i think Alaire is going to brutally murder me if im any later. Just know im not. I take selfies because no one else can get exactly how i want, and its just easier.
