Belle : The doll is from the 2011 Classic Film Doll Collection. I changed her outfit with the 2010 Classic Belle Doll and add in more ruffles. I also curled her hair as she originally came with long straight hair.
Beast : The doll's head is the new mold and the body is the 2010 Classic Beast Doll body with full articulation. He is wearing the 2010 classic doll's shirt, vest, pants, boots, and the new doll's tux that I removed the beast's hands and tail.

Side by side comparison of the Classic versus the Limited Edition Moana Dolls. Here the Classic doll is raised so she is at the same eye level as the LE doll, so we can compare their faces and hair more easily. They are without their oars.
They were both released by the Disney Store this year. The Classic doll is 11 inches tall and costs $19.95. The LE doll is 16 inches tall and costs $119.95. They are very similar, but the LE doll is made of better materials, has more articulation, is more accurate to the movie character, has a more detailed outfit, with the addition of a leaf and flower crown, leafy arm band, leafy ankle bands, a beaded necklace with a pendant that opens, and the sidekicks Pua and Hei Hei, who can free stand atop a sandy base.
Here's my review of the LE Moana Doll.
She has mock sand on her feet, and there is also sand on the base for Pua. Somewhat like glitter, the sand does shed, and found its way on the sides of the box, and on the doll itself. Some of the sand on the tips of her toes also got rubbed off.
Moana has a unique body, but is fully articulated. She has ball jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Instead of the chest joint that are on most of the female Disney Store 17 inch LE dolls, Moana has a waist pivot joint that allows her upper torso to spin around 360 degrees. This is similar to the Designer Princess waist joint, but is lower down her back, just above her butt. That is doubtless due to her bare midriff. With large her flat feet, Moana can free stand very stably. But I think that some of her joints are a little too loose, especially her waist joint.
Her body proportions are also unique for a Disney LE doll, but that is due to those of the animated character herself. In particular, her arms and legs are thicker than the other LE Princess dolls. Rather than the flat hands of the other LE Princess dolls, Moana has curved hands, which I think look more natural. Her face is very pretty and a very good likeness of the animated character. She has thick eyebrows, big brown eyes glancing to her upper right. She has short painted eyelashes, but no rooted eyelashes (like the LE Merida dolls). She has a large flat nose, and full dark brown lips in a closed mouth smile.
She has dark brown wavy hair that has a lot of hair product, so it feels a bit crunchy. Some of her hair was actually stuck to the plastic support, her body and her clothes, due to the hair product not being fully dry when she was assembled. There was also some bits of tissue paper stuck to her hair.
She has a garland of cloth leaves and plastic flowers on her head, It is permanently attached to her head. There are plastic leafy bands around her left arm and both ankles. The arm band was rather loose, and I had to keep on moving it back up her arm. I think it could use a rubber band to keep it tight, which I don't think I accidently cut when deboxing her. Her ankle bands did have rubber bands around them. She has a beaded plastic necklace with a shell pendant that opens. I removed the large rubber band around her upper chest and the plastic support that kept the pendent attached to her top. But I left the rubber bands that kept the upper part of the necklace in place. She has an short satin orange top with white beaded decoration. There is a matching belt or sash around her hips, over her skirt. Her skirt has two woven layers, with a straw underskirt.
Pua is very stable on the sand dune base (and there are indentations in the base to show where to place him). Hei Hei can free stand on Pua's head, but you have to place him very carefully, using the indentations on Pua's head as a guide. He can also be made secure by a rubberband around Pua's head and over Hei Hei's feet.
Moana's oar is placed on her left side in the box, but the way the handle is formed on the oar, it fits most easily on her right hand (to our left when she faces us).

I received this slipper ornament from the Disney Store a couple of weeks ago, but just now got around to unpacking it and taking some photos. It is still available online from the Disney Store, and costs $24.95. It is made by Disney Parks, but I haven't seen it yet in Disneyland.
I am very impressed with the ornament. It is an accurate representation of the live action Cinderella slipper. It is made of resin and metal, with faceted sides and a glittering golden butterfly. It is about 4 inches along the top of the shoe, the same size as the other Disney Parks shoe ornaments. It stands comparison to my $395 Arribas Cinderella faceted crystal slipper, which is about twice its size (7.5 inches along the top of the shoe). I show it alone from various angles, and also side by side with some of my other LA Cinderella slipper figures.

The Disney Fairytale Designer Limited Edition Doll Sets include Snow White and the Prince; Rapunzel and Flynn Rider; Jasmine and Aladdin; Belle and the Beast; and Ariel and Eric, all brought to life with careful attention. Featuring stunning details, such as satin gowns with subtle ornate prints, embroidered bodices, golden buttons and rhinestone accents, each set is presented in a special keepsake display case with intricate details on the base, including a golden plate with the name of the specific Disney Princess and her partner. I just got the Disney Store items I purchased last week to take advantage of the 25% off Friends and Family sale. Here are the new Ariel and Eric Wedding Doll Set and the new Wedding Tiana and Naveen Wedding Doll Set.
Here are photos I took of the promo placard and display dolls at my local Disney Store today. They were only supposed to display the Cinderella doll (which is actually the second doll to be released). But the manager brought out the Snow White, Jasmine and Ariel dolls from the back so I can see them and take photos. They have not yet received the last two dolls to be released, Tiana and Belle. The placard lists the release dates and photos of the dolls, along with their edition sizes. They will be released one per week on Saturday, starting on October 6, rather than the usual Tuesday. They will start to hand out vouchers starting an hour before store opening and lasting about 30 minutes. They will then announce the winners of the raffle about 20 minutes before store opening, who may then purchase the doll being released that day. The online release will take place at 12:01 AM (Pacific time) on the morning of that same day. Each doll will cost $109.95.

Here are photos of my Rapunzel pin, that I just received today from the Disney Store. It was enclosed in a ziplock baggie, and shipped in a small bubble mailer, without any other protection. The backer card was bent in several places, but not too seriously. I straightened them out with my fingers to make the card more presentable. The pin itself is in excellent shape, with a small dent in the gold frame on the left side, and a small bubble in the translucent window near the top. It is the fourth pin in the Stunning Silhouettes series. I got all but Belle directly from the Disney Store when they were released. I think this pin is the best looking one so far, with the Belle pin a close second. I show the pin alone, and next to the rest of the series.
These lovely ladies are way over due for a photo shoot. I've photographed my smaller dolls from the Disney store but these are the 16" versions of them.
I opened her case to get a closer look! She's really so beautiful. I think she's my fave in the set.
Several Disney Designer Collection Premiere Series items were released online in the US ShopDisney site this morning (Monday September 17, 2018). They were not previously announced by the Disney Store. They include two LE 4800 pin sets (with three Princess pins in each set), an LE 3100 ornament set (with all six Princesses), and a notecard set, with all six princesses. As of 6 pm PDT, both pin sets and the ornament set are sold out online. By 8 pm PDT the Notecard set was also sold out online.
Note: For some reason, there is no image of the Cinderella notecard or envelope in the stock images.

Review of 2014 Aurora Singing Doll
The new singing Aurora doll has many differences from the previous singing Aurora doll (released in 2012) and also from last year's singing dolls. She is 11'' tall (actually 11 1/4'' to the top of her head, or 11 1/2'' to the top of her hair), is dressed in the peasant Briar Rose outfit (without crown or necklace), is barefoot, and sings 25 seconds of ''Once Upon a Dream'' in a single segment when her left wrist is twisted. The 2012 singing Aurora doll is 17'' tall and dressed in her pink Princess outfit, with gold crown and pink heels, and sings 45 seconds of ''Once Upon a Dream'' in three segments when a button is touched in her right palm. The 2014 singing Aurora comes in a large box with large plastic window under a outer cardboard cover that is decorated with scenes from the movie Sleeping Beauty on the inside. That is similar in design to some of the collectible Mattel dolls of Disney characters from the 1990s. The 2013 11 1/2'' singing dolls had two outfits and one or two figurines of their sidekicks. This 2014 doll has only one outfit, but many more sidekicks, including a five animal depiction of the Mock Prince. Two of the larger animal figures, a rabbit and squirrel, are flocked to imitate fur. She also comes with a plastic basket, that she used in the movie to collect berries. Finally, the 2014 doll is $29.95, which is almost the same price as the 2012 17'' doll (which was $29.50), and $5 more than the 2013 11 1/2'' dolls.
Aurora's outfit consists of a satin dress and shawl. The dress has a black bodice, light purple skirt and light green blouse, all sewn together. The shawl is dark magenta, is single ply but hemmed, and a simple rectangular piece of cloth. It is tacked to her bodice near the waist in two places, which I left as is so it wouldn't fall off the doll. Her outfit is completely glitter free. It is simple but elegant.
Her hair is golden blonde, with gentle curls falling to her hips. She has some straight bangs over her forehead, and her iconic curly bang to over her left eye. It was divided into to sections in the back for shipping, but was easy to even out using my fingers.
She has violet eyes glancing to her left. There are a couple of short thick eyelashes at the far corners of her eyes. She has light rouge on her cheeks, and dark pink lips forming a friendly smile. Her face is very beautiful, from all angles and quite movie accurate.
She has the body of a 2013-2014 Classic Princess doll, except for her left arm. Twisting her left hand will start her singing ''Once Upon a Dream'' for 25 seconds. The wrist doesn't turn completely around, but does tilt up and down like a normal ball jointed wrist. Note that her left elbow is not jointed. Her right arm is fully articulated, with ball jointed wrist and elbow that have full freedom of movement. She has ball jointed hip, rubber legs with internal knee joints, and fixed angled feet. With bare feet she looks like she is tip toeing through the forest.
Purchase and Product Information
I just received today (Monday June 30) the dolls I ordered from the Disney Store last Monday, June 23. They included two copies of the new Singing Aurora Doll, and the new Jasmine and Maleficent dolls. All the boxes were crushed by the shipper, except for the Maleficent doll, strangely enough. It was as though someone sat on the shipping carton. However, all the dolls themselves are in perfect condition, and I am a deboxer, so it isn't that big a deal to me. However, I do want a copy of the Singing Aurora doll to keep in mint condition in the box, so I will be returning one of them to the store to exchange for a good copy when they get the singing dolls in.
I will post photos of the Singing doll boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed.

I really like Belle's winter outfit. She appears to be last year's model, as her face and hair (widow's peak) are different. She has rubber legs and dark pink flats. The most impressive props are the enchanted rose in the bell jar, and the enchanted mirror. The bell jar is removable from the base, and the enchanted rose is glittery. The enchanted mirror is a real glass mirror, which reminds me of Designer Princess Rapunzel's mirror.
Here are detailed photos of the newly released Beauty and the Beast Deluxe Doll Set ($79.95), that I just got from my local Disney Store. The accessory figures look really detailed and well done. In fact, I like Chip better in this set than the one with the new Classic Belle doll. Also the bluebird looks nicer than the one with the new Classic Snow White. Belle and Beast are in their winter outfits. Belle also has her blue peasant outfit and her yellow ball gown. Beast also has his formal outfit. Philippe is way too small, but is a very cute plush. I like this set way better than the ones for Aladdin or Sleeping Beauty.

Two versions of the Snow White and the Prince Doll Set, from the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection, are compared.
Joining them on the left is the 2011 Limited Edition Designer Snow White Doll from the Disney Princess Designer Collection. She was released online and in stores on September 19, 2011 and purchased online the same day. She is number 3997 of 6000. Behind her is the 2011 Classic Prince doll (as there were no limited edition dolls of the Prince from that year).
In the center is the regular edition Snow White and the Prince dolls, that have outfits closer to being movie accurate, and are a limited edition of 6000 sets. They were released in stores on August 20, 2013, and online the next day. My doll set was purchased in store on release day, and is number 558 of 6000.
On the right is the D23 Expo exclusive Gold Snow White and the Prince dolls, that have special outfits of the same pattern as the regular versions of the dolls, but made of different materials and colors. It was a limited edition of 600 sets. They were released exclusively at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California on August 8-10, 2013. My dolls were purchased on August 9, 2013, and are numbered 114 of 600.

Fairytale Designer Cinderella and Lady Tremaine have been deboxed. They are standing sided by side, supported by Kaiser stands. I decided to leave Cinderella's skirt pinned together into pleats in the front, and leave Lucifer tied to Lady Tremaine's arm by rubber bands.

Detailed photos of the Cinderella and Lady Tremaine DFDC limited edition doll set that I bought on the release day (September 6, 2016) from my local Disney Store. There were only about 10 people who entered the raffle for the 18 doll sets available. My set is numbered #2287 of 6000. I didn't see any significant flaws when I inspected the set at the register. I didn't get a gift bag when I bought the set, but returned the next day and they gave me one. The set is still available online, and in some stores as of Friday September 9.
Cinderella does have teeth in her face mold. They are painted over to give the illusion of a closed mouth. But at the angle that her head is positioned, it is hard to see the painted over teeth, and the illusion is very convincing.
Cinderella is wearing dark pink high heels with articulated ankles. She has blemish on her cheek that looks like hair product that spilled onto her face. So I was able to wash it off when I took the cover off the display case. Her hair is stiff with hair product, so I decided to leave her hair alone after deboxing, even though it looks a bit messy, and some of her hair curls around her neck.
When I deboxed Lady Tremaine, I unpinned her skirt so it's much fuller. I also unpinned her scarf so it falls freely from her head. It is sewn to her hair. I left Cindy's skirt pinned together in the front (so it looks pleated), but I may free it later.
This is my favorite set in this year's Designer Collection, and has been since I first saw images of it. Cinderella looks even more beautiful in person than in photos. I love her hair color and her face. Lady Tremaine's outfit is outstanding, and is much better than the one on the 17 inch Limited Edition Lady Tremaine from 2012.

With no room to display my Snow White, she is now back in the box, on a folding chair next to my desk.
I received my Disney Designer Collection Premiere Series Snow White Limited Edition Doll today. I had ordered her online at the release day, shortly after 12 AM in the morning of Saturday October 6, 2018. She is #1301 of 4100. She came in a shipper box that is approximately the same size as the LE 17 inch doll shippers. It original shipping label said GIRLS TOYS LE PR DSGN SNOW DOLL F18, and CART #: 01298. There was a small piece of masking tape stuck to the side of the box with the actual edition number (matching the CoA): 1301. Inside there was another corrugated cardboard box snugly fitting in the outer shipping box. Inside that was the actual doll box, which was covered with tissue paper, and fit snugly in the inner shipping box, with cardboard caps on the top and bottom of the doll box. The shipper box was undamaged in transit, as was the inner box and the doll box itself.
The doll box has folding panels in the front with magnetic closure, with a large design sketch of Snow White and the year 1937 in large numerals. In the background are photographers in silhouette snapping photos, and a red carpet. The back of the box has angled corners, making for a hexagonal shaped box. The sides and back of the box also has images of Snow White. The top of the box has a clear window with the title of the collection in gold lettering. Inside the front covers are replicas of the movie poster, invitation and tickets to the premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Carthay Circle Theatre in Los Angeles, on December 21, 1937. The doll is behind a rectangular viewing window extending almost the full width and height of the box.
The inner box containing the doll and front viewing window can be slid out from the outer box. It is entirely enclosed, so can be displayed as is, without having to deal with the front covers either covering up the doll, or taking up space in front or to the sides of the inner box. The doll is on top a red carpet that has steps in front, and is flocked cardboard.
The doll herself is by far my favorite of the current Designer Premiere Series. I'm slightly biased because Snow White is my favorite Disney Princess, and am so happy that she turned out so well. I think her gown and accessories are very beautifully designed and produced. It also is very fitting for Snow White, and would be something she would wear to the premiere of her own movie.
I show her boxed, with the inner box removed from the outer box, and finally with the front viewing window removed from the inner box.
I will fully debox her tomorrow and post photos here when I do.

Here are side by side comparisons of the 2013 through 2016 Disney Store Classic Princess 12 inch dolls. I start out with Snow White, the first Disney Princess and also my favorite Disney character.
Their faces are all identical as far as I can tell. Except that the latest one has slightly paler and pinker skin on her face as well as the rest of her body, which is a welcome change to me. They are all glancing to the left (their right), have dark pink lips that are full and slightly open in a charming smile.
They are all supposed to have the same bobbed hair style, but only the 2013 doll has very neat hair that is close to the correct style. They all have red satin ribbons in their hair, but only the 2013 doll has an actual bow. Since then the 'bows' are actually flat pieces of satin sewn to look like a bow.
They all have the same style outfits: blue bodices with puff sleeves and high white collar, red capes, golden yellow skirts and yellow flats. Their skirts changed between glitter patterns and uniform glitter in alternate years. I prefer the latter, although it does shed quite a bit, and is especially troublesome on their sticky rubber legs. The 2015 skirt hardly shed glitter at all, and also had jewel embellishments, which none of the other dolls had. The 2016 skirt has a denser layer of glitter than the 2014 one, which makes it stiffer and helps it keep a fuller shape. The best outfit was the 2014 one, with velvet bodice and cape, and a double layer hemmed satin collar. The 2014 and 2015 capes were removable, so it is disappointing that the current doll has a cape that is permanently sewn to the back of her dress, just below the collar. It also doesn't drape very well, being encrusted with red glitter.
They have the same bodies (except for the skin color change in the 2016 doll), with rubber legs, click stop internal knee joints, and ball jointed neck, shoulder, elbow and wrist joints. It might just be a factory variance, but i feel that this year's doll has looser joints than the older dolls.
The biggest change (and improvement) in this year's doll is the addition of a bluebird sidekick figurine. It's little claws fit snuggly over Snow's index finger or thumb, and mimics the bluebird included with the 2009 LE Snow White 17'' doll, although it is much less detailed.

2018 Singing Ariel 11 1/2 inch doll by Disney Store. Singing one verse of 'Part of Your World' (approximately 12 seconds long). 16 seconds HD video.
I got the new Disney Store 11 1/2 inch singing Cinderella and Ariel dolls today. My store also had singing Moana (which I didn't get), but don't have Jasmine or Elsa yet. They are showing up in various Disney Stores both here in the US and also in the UK, but are not yet available online.
They are in much simpler packaging than previous singing dolls, and have no accessories. They are also less expensive than previous singing dolls, only $19.99, just $5 more than a regular Classic doll. Cinderella and Ariel have new faces that are different than the current Classic dolls, and are quite lovely. Cinderella also has darker hair than previous singing and Classic dolls, being golden blonde rather than the usual platinum blonde.
Cinderella sings 'A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes' when you twist left her hand. She is wearing her pink dress. Ariel sings 'Part of Your World'. Ariel is in mermaid form, with a purple bra that has a large blue gem in the middle, and an iridescent dark blue-green tail with light blue-green fins.
I have deboxed Singing Ariel and will post detailed photos of her soon.
She has a pink cloth flower in her hair, with a yellow jewel in the center. It is tacked to her head with a T-tab. There is glitter on her bra, and in the tulle fins and fringe around her waist, but sheds very little, if at all. Her satin tail is iridescent, and has outlines of scales printed in black. She has the new style rubber legs, with internal click stop knee joints, and fixed flat feet.
But I have bad news about her singing. She only sings one verse of 'Part of Your World', which lasts about 12 seconds, and that's it. I thought that was just the Try Me mode, but there is no pull tab, or alternate switch position to make the song segment longer. And when you twist her hand again, the same verse repeats itself. Boo! The previous Ariel singing dolls (both 12 inch and 16 inch) all sang three verses of the song, lasting about 30 seconds. Some of the other 12 inch singing dolls from past years would sing 2 verses, or about 20 seconds of their song, but this new Ariel only singing one verse is very disappointing, despite her low price compared to past singing dolls.
