It may not share too many things with "Inception" outside of a slight similarity in means of quantum teleportation, but "Source Code" does have an ending that's worthy of interpretation, much like Christopher Nolan's (much weaker) hit from last year. In fact, some of the same theories applied to "Inception" could work for Duncan Jones' new "director-for-hire" follow-up to "Moon." I'll wait until after the jump to go into details, since obviously this discussion will include spoilers. But while I do believe Jones (and maybe to a lesser degree the original screenwriter, Ben Ripley) sets up a precise idea of what happens at the end, I've already encountered people with different thoughts on it. Because of the confusion, I must note that by "two places at once" I mean within the same dimension/reality/timeline and didn't intend to dismiss the parallel worlds idea. But even with that said, I might have been confusing myself. He could technically be in two places at the same time the way there are simultaneously two Martys in 1955 in "Back to the Future," due to time travel. I just mean his consciousness itself could not be split in half. Anyway, I'm giving myself another headache.

Celebrating Dr. E's LAw of Moving Dimensions ^& Dynamic Dimensions Theory dx4/dt=ic which derives from Homer's Odyssey! "Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero who travelled far and wide after he had sacked the famous town of Troy. Many cities did he visit, and many were the nations with whose manners and customs he was acquainted; moreover he suffered much by sea while trying to save his own life and bring his men safely home; but do what he might he could not save his men, for they perished through their own sheer folly in eating the cattle of the Sun-god Hyperion; so the god prevented them from ever reaching home. Will be busy printing and framing in nice large, matted formats and frames and museum glass! Five of these photos will be printed on 40" x 60" floating wall mounted metal sheets! I think I know which--will share photos of the photos hanging on the walls!
And I am mounting some on plexiglass/acryllic--front mounting them! Some I am printing on lossy fuji-crystal archival paper too, and then front mounting 40"x60" versions to plexiglass--will send photos!
The secret to HDR photography is that you want people to say, "Woe dude--that's unreal!" And not, "Dude--that's not real!" "Unreal" is the word they use when they're trying to figure out the photo--what makes it cool--is it a photo? Is it painted? How'd it come to be--how'd you bend the light that way? "That's not real," is what they say if you have the saturation/HDR/ etc. turned up too high. :)
Some (almost) final edits for my Los Angeles Gallery Show! Printing them on metallic paper at 13" x 19" and mounting and framing them on a 4mm 18x24 white mat and 2" dark wood frame. Farnese Bull or the torture of Dirce - 3rd century AD (from the original of the end of the 2nd century BC) - dimensions 370 × 295 × 300 cm - MANN - National Archaeological Museum of Naples
It was found in 1545 in Rome, in the gymnasium of the Baths of Caracalla, attributed to two sculptors from Rhodes, Apollonio and Taurisco, dated then to the end of the II century a. C. It is one of the largest sculptures that have come down to us from antiquity, so much so as to be called a mountain of marble. The marble group represents the torture of Dirce, punished by Anfione and Zeto, sons of Antiope, who tied her to a bull to kill her, as revenge for the mistreatment suffered by their mother. The work was restored in the sixteenth century when Michelangelo was called to direct the works at Palazzo Farnese also taking care of the placement of the marble sculptures.

Axis Mundi 2024.
Stainless Steel, Powder Coat Pigment, LED
Axis Mundi draws inspiration from the crystalline structure of fluorite, which contains shapes similar to honeycomb. This artwork is made up of hexagons and squares that efficiently fill space without gaps. These patterns are remarkably elegant and balanced in their division of three-dimensional space.

LIGHT BLOOM by HYBYCOZO is a limited-time exhibit where nature and light converge. This mesmerizing display invites you to explore the Garden transformed by stunning geometric light installations that illuminate the beauty of the desert landscape in a new way. As the sun sets, LIGHT BLOOM comes to life, casting intricate shadows and vibrant hues across the Garden. Wander the trails and let the enchanting installations transport you to a magical realm where the natural world meets the abstract.
HYBYCOZO is the collaborative studio of artists Serge Beaulieu and Yelena Filipchuk. Based in Los Angeles, their work consists of larger than life geometric sculptures, often with pattern and texture that draw on inspirations from mathematics, science, and natural phenomena. Typically illuminated, the work celebrates the inherent beauty of form and pattern and represents their ongoing journey in exploring the myriad dimensions of geometry. HYBYCOZO is short for the Hyperspace Bypass Construction Zone, a nod to their favorite novel (The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) and was the title of their first installation in 2014. They continue to create under this name. In the novel earth was being destroyed to make way for a bypass. It lead Serge and Yelena to ask what it means to make art at a time where the earth’s hospitable time in the universe may be limited.

Q: Walk us through your creative process?
A: The focus of our creative process is to explore the intricate interplay between geometry, light, space and to inspire contemplation, wonder and a sense of place among our audiences. Geometry and pattern-making serve as the backbone of our creative expression. It is the framework through which we navigate the complexities of form, proportion and spatial relationships. Patterns, both simple and complex, have a profound impact on our perception and understanding of the world. They possess the ability to evoke a sense of order, balance and aesthetic pleasure. Pattern making and geometry offer us a means of storytelling and communication. These patterns serve as conduits for deeper exploration, provoking introspection and contemplation to uncover the underlying symbols embedded within the human psyche.
Q: What inspired the concept of LIGHT BLOOM?
A: Just as many cactus and desert plants have evolved to produce night-blooming flowers, adapting to their environment and thriving in darkness, our sculptures come alive after sunset, blossoming with light and transforming the night into a glowing landscape of art and geometry.
Desert Botanical Garden has an incredible collection of plants and cacti arranged in a beautiful park setting.
"Think the desert is all dirt and tumbleweeds? Think again. Desert Botanical Garden is home to thousands of species of cactus, trees and flowers from all around the world spread across 55 acres in Phoenix, Arizona."

Know that Christ’s True Presence in the Holy Eucharist is real.
When we receive the Eucharist, we are receiving the resurrected, living Christ. We are bonded to Him, transformed by Him and strengthened to live with greater charity toward our neighbor.
I Pray for people to believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity – under the appearances of bread and wine. I pray no one will lose the opportunity to receive the Holy Eucharist in our hard times we are living in amen.

In the Grote Kerk in Naarden there are 27 church paintings on the vault of the central nave in large dimensions, which were once applied to the white wood with glue paint.
The images represent the Last Judgment and scenes from the life of Jesus. On the other hand, there are ten representations from the Old Testament. P1310641
The performances are therefore based on scenes from the Old and New Testament and were largely based on woodcuts by Albrecht Dürer and work by Jacob Cornelisz.
The beams, carvings and styles were painted in watercolor, with ornaments, weapons and attributes. The scenes, placed high above the church building, were set in elegantly executed edges with a late Gothic character.
This corresponded to the vault paintings in the St. Laurenskerk in Alkmaar. Most of the performances included the weapons of the guilds or of persons who had originally donated them.
A painting of a church of this size was rare in the Netherlands and the work was, in view of the age and wars it had experienced, even in reasonable condition before the restoration.
Buys van Oostsanen
The 27 ceiling paintings were probably made in the early sixteenth century by a group of artists around Jacob Cornelisz (Buys) van Oostsanen. Monogram of the painter of the vaults
Van Oostsanen (1475-1533), born, as the name already says in Oostzaan, settled in Amsterdam in 1500 and bought there, with an interval of twenty years, two houses in the Kalverstraat.
His workshop included paintings, glass paintings and church vestments. In addition, Van Oostsanen and his employees carried out vault paintings in the large churches of Naarden, Alkmaar and Hoorn. Van Oostsanen died in 1533.
Importance of the paintings
The dating of the paintings in the Grote Kerk in Naarden was derived from the Count's Crown. One of the images featured the coat of arms of Charles the Fifth, who was elected emperor in 1519, so the paintings have to be dated earlier. Part of a vault painting
According to authorities in this field, the paintings were the most complete and intact series on a barrel vault that had been handed down in a church in the Netherlands.
Of the church paintings, the painter J.A. de Rijk, later professor at the R.K. Seminar "Hageveld", made accurate and fairly detailed drawings, which were exhibited at the exhibition of Gooise antiquities in 1882 and which were taken over by the Dutch Society of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
The fact that the sketches were on display was due to the efforts of First Lieutenant Adjutant of Artillery, A.N.J. Fabius.
Presentation of the images (general)
The vault of the choir abbits, in figures of two or three times the size of man, represents the Last Judgment. This is the end of the whole and the end, to which all other ideas lead.
On the north side are scenes from the life of the Saviors:
The fear of the Lord in the Olive Garden - David and the Mount of Olives
The betrayal of Judas - kisses of men
The Flagellation of the Lord - Chastisement
The derision of the soldiers - taunting Elisha
The carrying of the cross - Isaac carrying the wood of sacrifice on his shoulders
The Crucifixion - Copper serpent in the desert
The Entombment - Jonas Devoured by a Sea Monster
The Resurrection - Simon who carried the gate of Gaza on his back
Ascension - Ascension of the prophet Elias to heaven
The Descent of the Holy Spirit - Declaration of the Ten Commandments on Sinai
The Last Judgment is directly in line with this. Opposite these ten scenes, in equal dimensions, on the other, or east side, are ten representations from the Old Testament, pre-depictions of the aforementioned. P1310622
Most of the scenes still included the weapons of the guilds or of special persons who had donated them. Some paintings depicted patron saints: Our Lady, the apostles Peter and Paul, St. George with the dragon, St. Sebastian and St. Hubert.
On one of the beams of the ceiling paintings was the following verse: "If one wrote 1618 sach. In May the 20th day, Do it was written here. God protects this church from any dangier."
It is wrongly thought that the ceiling paintings would not have been completed until 1618, but it is possible that the verse was from a visitor to the church. P1310105
The choir polygon consisted of five subjects. Over the centuries, these have suffered a lot from over- or additional paintings.
The Last Judgment was presented here. In the center sat Christ, flanked by trumpet angels.
The dead came down from their graves below. The northern polygon area was filled by a very beautifully executed angel, the southern one by devils and demons.
I returned to this tree with more ideas to produce great images and it seems to keep speaking to me. I wanted to emphasize both the dramatic sky and the foreground. I'm pleased with the result of this vertical panorama, HDR, infrared, long exposure image.
Hope you enjoy this photo. This is an HDR, vertical panorama in true infrared as long exposures.

Church of São Francisco
The church that hosts the Capela dos Ossos also needs to be seen, not least as it was a place of worship for royalty.
This is made clear at the portal, which is was sculpted in the Manueline style in the first decades of the 1500s.
Amid the decoration is an armillary sphere, which was the emblem of King Manuel I, and a pelican, signifying King John II. The nave has monumental dimensions (it is the largest church interior of this kind in Portugal), and you should raise your eyes to the groin vaults in the ceiling.

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells. --To Autumn. by John Keats
Back to my Astro Projection mission... :-) It's from my Canada Day rooftop photo-session while waiting for fireworks I had my out-of-body & lens experience on cosmic cityscapes of Toronto Downtown! In fantastic 15 seconds, my camera recorded merging dimensions of colourful festivity, our CN Tower included :-) ...all brought to you by my manual zoom/long exposure magic! :-)
*It's a SOOC image, manual zooming during long exposure - no processing involved!

The 45EPIC landscapes and goddesses are straight out of Homer's Iliad & Odyssey!
I'm currently updating a translation with the Greek names for the gods and goddesses--will publish soon! :)
"RAGE--Sing, O goddess, the anger of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Achaeans. Many a brave soul did it send hurrying down to Hades, and many a hero did it yield a prey to dogs and vultures, for so were the counsels of Zeus fulfilled from the day on which the son of Atreus, king of men, and great Achilles, first fell out with one another. Finding different layers in the city... Multiple dimensions, three spatial dimensions, the time, the weather... What else... All of this is classical and its fortunate combination can lead to great pictures... That's what I do, as all of the photographers out there in the streets. But sometimes, you find something else, something beyond the simple combination of traditional dimension, and you reveal something, something that is then trully yours!
Having a wild time seeing what can happen that only the camera sees.

Father and son collaboration
Our photographic art is a kinetic motion study, from the results of interacting with my son A.J and his toys.
He was born severely handicapped much like a quadriplegic. On December 17,1998. Our family’s goal has always been to help A.J. use his mind, even though he has minimal use of his body.
A.J. likes to watch lights and movement. One of the few things he can do for himself is to operate a switch that sets in motion lights and various shiny, colorful streamers and toys that swirl above his bed.
One day I took a picture of A.J. with his toys flying out from the big mobile near his bed like swings on a carnival ride. I liked the way the swirling objects and colors looked in the photo.
I wanted to study the motion more and photograph the whirling objects in an artful way, I wanted my son A.J. to be a part of it. After all, he’s the one who inspires me. When A.J. and I work together on our motion artwork, A.J. starts his streamers and objects twirling, I take the photographs.
Activating a tiny switch might not seem like much to some, but it’s all A.J. can do. He controls the direction the mobile will spin, as well as when it starts and stops. The shutter speeds are long, and sometimes, I move the camera and other times I hold it still.
I begin our creation with a Nikon digital camera. Then I use my computer with Photoshop to alter the images into what I feel might be an artistic way. Working with Photoshop, I find the best parts from several images and combine them into the final composite photograph. I consider the finished work to be fine art. The computer is just the vehicle that helps my expressions grow.
I take the photographs and A.J. adds the magic. It’s something this father and son do together. After I’ve taken a few shots, I show him the photos in the back of the camera. When the images are completed, I show him from a laptop. He just looks. He can’t tell me whether or not he likes the images, but he’s always ready to work with me again.
It offers me my only glance into A.J.’s secret world. We’ve built a large collection of images and I hope the motion and color move you as much as they do me.
A.J. inspires me to work harder to understand my life in the areas of art, photography, people, spirituality, and so much more. He truly sets my mind in motion and helps me find the beauty in everyday things.

Water has many sides and dimensions. Oftentimes, we may not even need to look beyond the surface to see another dimension. In this particular photograph, the mix of water mist and the high constrast of sunlight offer a dimension which the shadow of the tree can be seen on the surface of the water.
