is the largest of all pelicans, with dimensions greater than the common white pelican. It has a wingspan of about 10 feet, making it one of the largest and heaviest flying birds.

Monumental i extraordinària per les seues dimensions i edat, la "Carrasca de Culla" va nàixer en els albors del segle XVI, des de llavors ha sigut i és testimoni mut de les diferents transformacions, socials, culturals i mediambientals que ha patit el territori.
La vida d'aquest impressionant exemplar de Kaërquez, l'arbre bell dels celtes, considerada una de les alzines més grans d'Espanya, ha transcorregut a 900 m d'altitud, al terme municipal de Culla i tan vinculada a aquesta població que no necessita més nom identificatiu.
Monumental y extraordinaria por su tamaño y edad, la "Carrasca de Culla" nació en los albores del siglo XVI, desde entonces ha sido y es testigo mudo de las diferentes transformaciones, sociales, culturales y medioambientales que ha sufrido el territorio.
La vida de este impresionante ejemplar de Kaërquez, el árbol bello de los celtas, considerada una de las encinas más grandes de España, ha transcurrido a 900 m de altitud, en el término municipal de Culla y tan vinculada a esta población que no necesita más nombre identificativo.

There's a big broadleaf maple like the one in the background here behind our house. I couldn't guess its dimensions, but it is enormous. Technically it is in our neighbor's yard, but since it towers over and is much older than all of us it's more like we belong to it, a feeling I particularly experience in the fall, when it creates the most epic cleanup responsibilities. We often hear barred owls in it at night. Somehow we have never laid eyes on them, but I expect it is just a matter of time. We see all other kinds of daytime birds in it, of course. Cooper's hawks like to hunt in it and it is a popular place for racoons to spend the day before raiding our pond at night. All of the other very big trees nearby are firs, and I think the combination of evergreen and deciduous habitat, as well as the nearby greenbelt and wetlands, all play a role in the extraordinary suburban birding around here. Stoa Attalosa to zrekonstruowany współcześnie starożytny portyk, znajdujący się na ateńskiej Agorze. Pierwotny budynek został wzniesiony za panowania króla Pergamonu Attalosa II (159–138 p.n.e.) i uważa się, że stanowił on dar władcy dla Aten w podziękowaniu za wykształcenie, jakie odebrał w mieście.
W roku 267 budowla zniszczona została przez Herulów (no czyli po prostu przez Niemców, jak zawsze ;)). Zachowaną ścianę włączono pod koniec starożytności w obręb fortyfikacji miejskich i dotrwała ona, wciąż widoczna, do naszych czasów.
W latach 50-tych XX w., staraniem m.in. Amerykańskiej Szkoły Studiów Klasycznych w Atenach, stoa została zrekonstruowana. Imponujący, dwukondygnacyjny budynek ma 115 metrów długości, jest szeroki na 20 i wysoki na 15 metrów.

The Stoa of Attalos in the Agora of Athens is identified as a gift to the city of Athens for the education that Attalos II, king of Pergamon from 159 BC to 138 BC, received there.
The stoa was in frequent use until in 267 AD it was destroyed by the Heruli (or simply, by the Germans ;)). The ruins became part of a fortification wall, which made it easily seen in modern times.
In the 1950s, the Stoa of Attalos was fully reconstructed and the Ancient Agora Museum was created by the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. The stoa's dimensions are 115 by 20 metres (377 by 66 ft).
An old oak commands attention in this study of time.

Neben dem großen 1qm Objekt habe ich auch ein kleineres ein Ouadrat fuß Objekt angefertigt für Urlaubszeiten, das auch demonstriert, wie klein unsere Welt ist. Für Länder mit Fuß Maßen wirkt die Erde zwar dreimal größer, aber das ist eine Täuschung. Wir Erdenbürger sollten das berücksichtigen und gemeinschaftlich unseren einmaligen Lebensraum beschützen.
In addition to the large 1qm object, I have also made a smaller ouadrat foot object for holiday times, which also demonstrates how small our world is. For countries with foot dimensions, the earth looks three times bigger, but that's a deception. We earthlings should take that into account and jointly protect our unique habitat.
