A few snaps of Tyler's updated F550s build, read to thrash for summer weather. The F550s is lightweight, smooth welded tubing with an aggressive track geometry comparable to the F550. Complete with a carbon alloy fork, this version was custom painted in digital camouflage.

Olympus Pen F lenses make a lot of sense on APS-C cameras (Fujifilm and others) as the format they were designed for (18x24mm) is only very slightly larger than APS-C (15.6x23.6mm). This means that you are using them more-or-less within their original scope... a wide angle lens is still a wide angle lens. I have quite a few Pen F lenses (25mm f4, 38mm f2.8 pancake, 40mm f1.4, 100mm f3.5, 150mm f4 and 50-90mm f3.5) and I'm looking forward to using them all on my X-E1.
What's more the flange>back distance on an Olympus Pen F SLR is much closer to the flange/back distance on the a Fuji X mount camera, so the adapter is much smaller than adapters for conventional SLR lenses. And of course the lenses themselves are very small too.
On my Olympus digital Pen only the 40mm f1.4 (with the 4/3s 2x field of view crop giving it a field of view similar to an 80mm full frame short telephoto lens) really made any sense, but I'm looking forward to using the whole set of lenses on my X-E1 where I think they will all make a bit more sense.
I have to say I think the Pen F lenses with their silver and black colour scheme look particularly smart on the silver X-E1 :-)

Crowded shoulder to shoulder on a train in Seoul you find yourself with no personal space. Yet, people do not even acknowledge that their are others in their midst. Some talk to family and friends, some watch the latest viral videos, and some are lost in a social game, collecting coins and trying to level up. I guess it makes taking photographs easier when people are so busy and unaware but, the occasional greating and face to face social interaction is sorely missed.
Not really published, just an iron on T-Shirt magazine cover project I made featuring my photo as cover of my favorite local photo magazine, hope the folks in DPP wont mind...

Digital elevation model of Earth with sunlight positioned to approximately 5/30/12 17:50 UTC. Elevations are exaggerated by 40 times to tease out most of the major terrain features (thus the appearance of clouds being extremely high in the atmosphere). This version replaces the ETOPO1 dataset with GEBCO_08 and adds the glow of atmospheric refraction. Sources: GEBCO_08 bathymetric raster data provided by the General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans. Satellite imagery provided by the NASA's Earth Observatory Blue Marble project. Global clouds are from the NASA Visible Earth catalog. Rendered using jDem846.
Explorando otras áreas del retoque, ésta vez me encontré con la de Pintura Mate Digital. Me siento bastante cómoda con esta técnica a pesar de su largo proceso.

Had a window of opportunity to have a little fashion-fix this weekend. Wish for more opportunities, but take what I can get.
we've been having to make some grown up decisions lately and i no longer know what the future holds for us, so here is a picture of my cat.
One of a series of digital abstractions inspired by the Constructivist movement begun in Russia.
Constructivism was a post-First World War outgrowth of Russian Futurism, and particularly of the 'corner-counter reliefs' of Vladimir Tatlin, which had been exhibited in 1915. The term itself would be coined by the sculptors Antoine Pevsner and Naum Gabo, who developed an industrial, angular approach to their work, while its geometric abstraction owed something to the Suprematism of Kasimir Malevich. ....the theorists Alexei Gan, Boris Arvatov and Osip Brik would arrive at a definition of Constructivism as the combination of faktura: the particular material properties of the object, and tektonika, its spatial presence. Initially the Constructivists worked on three-dimensional constructions as a first step to participation in industry: the OBMOKhU (Society of Young Artists) exhibition showed these three dimensional compositions, by Rodchenko, Stepanova, Karl Ioganson and the Stenberg Brothers. Later the definition would be extended to designs for two-dimensional works such as books or posters, with montage and factography becoming important concepts.
These works are most influenced by Vladimir Tatlin's 'tower'. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:TatlinMonument3int.jpg
"The canonical work of Constructivism was Vladimir Tatlin's proposal for the Monument to the Third International (1919) which combined a machine aesthetic with dynamic components celebrating technology such as searchlights and projection screens. Gabo publicly criticized Tatlin's design saying Either create functional houses and bridges or create pure art, not both. This had already led to a major split in the Moscow group in 1920 when Gabo and Pevsner's Realistic Manifesto asserted a spiritual core for the movement. This was opposed to the utilitarian and adaptable version of Constructivism held by Tatlin and Rodchenko. Tatlin's work was immediately hailed by artists in Germany as a revolution in art: a 1920 photo shows George Grosz and John Heartfield holding a placard saying 'Art is Dead - Long Live Tatlin's Machine Art', while the designs for the tower were published in Bruno Taut's magazine Fruhlicht.
