British painter Lucian Freud on July 4, 2010 during a visit at the Fesch Museum in Ajaccio, on the French Mediterranean Island of Corsica.
Born in Berlin, Freud emigrated with his family to Britain in 1933 as Nazism took hold in Germany, taking up painting in the 1940s, and over six decades his output has included a number of self-portraits.
"I paint people'", Freud has said, "not because of what they are like, not exactly in spite of what they are like, but how they happen to be'".
Lucian Freud, the foremost figurative artist of his generation, has died peacefully at his home, in London, aged 88, this week ( 20-Jul-2011).

My attempt at double exposure. Started with a photo of the cedar tree and field and applied a multiply layer and a screen layer of the barn. Added a levels adj. layer, bumped contrast, added a golden fill layer and a navy blue exclusion layer. Warmed it up, added a soft light layer, a vignette and sharpened.

A empresa que trabalho está criando um grande projeto de inclusão digital. Ele será aplicado em São Paulo (quilombos, assentamentos...) e no Pará e Amapá (comunidades rurais, riberinhas e aldeias).
Esta foto e a anterior são para o projeto.
A criança da foto, se chama Letícia, é moradora da comunidade do Iratapurú, que fica às margens do rio de mesmo nome.

A La Luz de Las Estrellas en La Noche... Margaritas y Algo Más!!! Vejer de la Frontera en La Janda Litoral en Cádiz. Muy al Sur de Epaña.
Vejer de la Frontera es uno de los últimos pueblos de Cádiz que guardan el sabor de su pasado andalusí. Limpio, luminoso, florido, acogedor, dispone de las mejores playas en sus cercanías y de los parajes naturales más sorprendentes.
Paseando por las calles del recinto amurallado de Vejer se van sucediendo antiguas casas edificadas en torno al tradicional patio de vecinos; hace años la simbología de una vida de puertas abiertas. Hoy en día se conservan en el centro urbano aproximadamente unas 350 casas con patios.
En resumen, es uno de los pueblos blancos mas simples y hermosos de toda Andalucía y España. Enclavado en una colina parece una isla blanca que se funde con el azul del cielo y el mar. Declarado momumento histórico-artístico en el año 1.976 Vejer muestra en todo su esplendor el más puro estilo de arquitectura popular árabe-andaluza. Premio Nacional de Embellecimiento de Pueblos en 1978. Calles estrechas y retorcidas y amurallada desde la edad media.

I decided to take a photo of my digital bodies. It would have been nice to put my LX1 in the frame since it shares a lineage with my Leica, but I needed it for the shot.
For some reason Panasonic Pictbridge only imports the JPEG, not the RAW. I’m too lazy to go back and get the original image, which is, much better than the imported one (it better be, the file is 13x bigger!). Live and learn.
I did learn that the Aperture RAW has a slightly different interpolation (a few less pixels) than the Panasonic JPEG. it’s also less noisy and the color is better. Neat.
