Hello There!

This is a Prairie Crocus, a prairie wildflower that blooms in late April-early May, so they won't be out for awhile. Being that it is too early to hunt for them, I found an image to share from my Spring 2018 Archives. Post processing was done with Adobe Elements 15 and Topaz Studio.

I put a simple prompt in Wombo, and then added layers and elements from my other photo software, to achieve the photo you see above. With a high temperature of 13 degrees - it has been a fun way to while away some time this afternoon.

An unwelcome POV in the opinion of perfectly green lawn lovers all over the world... the leaf was added for effect and composition.

The image of the leaves was taken on the surface of a creek devoid of any detail let alone a tree canopy... I thought I change that (The camera settings belong to the leaves only).

To match the actual true colours of this freezing landscape, the colour tones were digitally corrected through layers of the same image at various density levels including monochrome.

Mushrooms that usually appear in autumn have sprouted all around our cabin in the middle of summer. It is most likely due to the long snowy winter and rainy spring. This tiny mushroom was surrounded by green clover - but I wanted to see him as he should appear in fall - so here is the transformation after a little manipulation on my part.

As I was working on this image, that title came to me. I knew it was a Bob Dylan song I had not heard for 45 years, so I looked up the lyrics, and sure enough, they are perfect for the universe shown here. Thank you, Bob :)))

Posted for Sliders Sunday - Processed to the MAX!

I was sitting at a local restaurant waiting for my meal to arrive, and found myself looking through my water glass at the various colorful objects behind it. Suddenly I found myself dreaming of traveling the world on a CruiseShip, and exploring every stop along the way - that is; until the waitress arrived with my lunch, and I snapped myself out of my daydream, and re-engaged with the real world around me.

All images within each image are my own. All heron and egrets shots are taken on the RBG grounds at Cootes Paradise or Dufferin Islands in Niagara Falls.

This flight sequence taken at Cootes Paradise has been placed on a background composed of two overlapping motion blurred and stretched images of autumn colours which I often use for texture. The top layer is at 50% density to reveal the bottom layer.

I was walking on a carpet of fallen leaves near a creek when I came up with the idea for this image. What if this carpet of leaves was to flow down the stream?. The biggest challenge was looking through my images trying to find a stream small enough to incorporate the leaves without loosing proportion and or definition (suitable for a closeup shot); then add a rock with water droplets flying into the air to cover a blurred area of the original image of the water flow, a few more leaves on the surface and rocks, and so on...(The camera settings listed belong to the stream image only)

I am in need of a little color, so for the CMWD Saturday theme which is "Pink or Purple" - I had to go to my archives.

Outside we still do not have leaves or greenery of any kind. Tiny little shoots of grass are trying to poke their way up from the still cold earth. I am hoping that this mornings rain will help things to sprout, and that I can join the rest of you in capturing the beauty of spring.
