New York City, 2007
The weekend in NYC elicited about a dozen decent shots out of 300+ images, but even when the photos don't meet expectations, it's always great to be in the city and to get to see friends and go Flickrwalkin'.
Ray and I met for brunch, followed by a walk through Lower Manhattan. The streets in front of Federal Hall and the Stock Exchange proved to be pretty fertile photography territory. We spent a ton of time down there before we moved on to Battery Park and Battery Park City.
Ray very graciously loaned me his 50mm f/1.8 until my next visit to town, which is what I took this portrait with.
Today I made my first book available to patrons on Patreon. Each year I decide upon a project for the whole year. Sorta like a drawing-a-day. This year I decided to create artists books one each month. These fit on a single sheet of paper. 8.5 x 11 inches, letter-sized US.
I'm making the whole collection available for download as they are completed. I expect to have a collection of 12 books one each month.
The first book is a selection of digital drawings I made for my 2020 project called Digital Ink. This one includes a poster backside that can also be printed separately.
The collection of books is titled Foldable Dispatches and book one is titled Digital Ink.
I made a few posts about progress and share a video of how to fold and cut. The posts are public although patrons get early access.
If you are interested in having the collection you can become a patron at any level. Thanks for taking a look.

I can be strange. But I usually read in bed and hold my (paper) book like this. The iLiad - in this position - is completely unusable. But - geez- the text engine and display is really perfect.

New York City, 2006
Our Flickrwalk in Central Park was even more satisfying and fun than I anticipated. We met up outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art and then meandered through Central Park.
This is James (jto) at the Conservatory Pond.
Oh, and the "we" included Ray, Regis, and Kyle, who took the time to come up from Philly.
Thanks to all the guys for a great day!
This truck sits across from the Serious Eats offices on most days. I was surprised to click on one of my contacts' photos and see it in the background: Who can turn the world on with her smile? [March 25]

The turn on screen. Yet nothing really impressive, but IMHO it's not with imaged that the iLiad over performs.
An important side not: the monitor emicts no light and it barely use batteries (the manual says the iLiad only needs them to change the screen content).

The page turn bar is the only nice thing in the iLiad haptics interface. Even if - in this position - could be used ONLY when you left hold your ebook.
