Our Flickrwalk in Central Park was even more satisfying and fun than I anticipated. We met up outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art and then meandered through Central Park.
This is James (jto) at the Conservatory Pond.
Oh, and the "we" included Ray, Regis, and Kyle, who took the time to come up from Philly.
Thanks to all the guys for a great day!
Today I made my first book available to patrons on Patreon. Each year I decide upon a project for the whole year. Sorta like a drawing-a-day. This year I decided to create artists books one each month. These fit on a single sheet of paper. 8.5 x 11 inches, letter-sized US.
I'm making the whole collection available for download as they are completed. I expect to have a collection of 12 books one each month.
The first book is a selection of digital drawings I made for my 2020 project called Digital Ink. This one includes a poster backside that can also be printed separately.
The collection of books is titled Foldable Dispatches and book one is titled Digital Ink.
I made a few posts about progress and share a video of how to fold and cut. The posts are public although patrons get early access.
If you are interested in having the collection you can become a patron at any level. Thanks for taking a look.

This truck sits across from the Serious Eats offices on most days. I was surprised to click on one of my contacts' photos and see it in the background: Who can turn the world on with her smile? [March 25]

Raymond poses in just about his favorite spot in New York: Union Square. We were starting our mini-Flickrwalk from Union Square and into the East Village.

The turn on screen. Yet nothing really impressive, but IMHO it's not with imaged that the iLiad over performs.
An important side not: the monitor emicts no light and it barely use batteries (the manual says the iLiad only needs them to change the screen content).
The page turn bar is the only nice thing in the iLiad haptics interface. Even if - in this position - could be used ONLY when you left hold your ebook.

I spent more time than I meant to on this but I had a lot of fun. I might actually go back and shade it later.

So, following my afternoon with James, I met up with another friend I've made thanks to this here dang website, Ray, who was very generous in giving me some pointers on using the new camera, and even let me borrow his lens for our informal Flickr stroll through the East Village. He was able to swing the trip into Manhattan on fairly short notice. Thanks, bud!

Just after I took this shot of this young woman, sitting in in an alcove adjacent to a young couple Ray photographed here, Ray basically told me I was being a hyena to his lion, only approaching people he already had. Heh. Which was true, since I tend to be moritified at the idea of asking strangers for photos, and Ray is, well, fearless.
But it did inspire me to just ask the young Russian woman seen a few photos back here in my stream to pose for me. =)
Very small icons, with no text, and a very very reduced sensible area. It could be useful a full usability master for the guys at iRex :-)
