Noob est une web-serie francaise creee par Fabien Fournier, originaire de Toulon, et diffusee depuis le 7 novembre 2008 sur la chaine Nolife disponible sur les chaines de television par ADSL francais.
Derriere son ecran, une jeune femme voit une video promotionnelle d'un MMORPG nomme Horizon 1.0.
Immediatement captivee par la realite virtuelle que propose le monde du jeu baptise Olydri, elle l'achete et commence une partie. Malheureusement pour elle le mecanisme du jeu repose surtout sur la collaboration et, le jeu ayant deja une certaine duree d'existence, les joueurs de bas-niveau sont devenus rares et les guildes ne les acceptent plus... sauf une : la Guilde Noob, pire guilde de tout Horizon qui compte Artheon l'ancien guerrier niveau 100 dechu et traumatise par cette experience, Omega Zell l'assassin arrogant et machiste et Sparadrap, naif et le pire soigneur du jeu.
Elle va, bon gre mal gre, entrer dans cette guilde au nom peu glorieux composee de bras-casses pour le meilleur (et surtout pour le pire).

hit all sizes to get the full effect... there's not much difference, just subtle shadows.
the top image is taken with a single SB800 on cam aimed straight up
the middle image is taken with 2 strobes, off camera...
-SB600 on the door above me aimed back into the corner (1/4 power)
-SB600 down past the table aimed straight back across the room with diffuser cap (1/8 power)
the bottom image is a setup shot for the middle one.
*the walls are a very light shade of blue, the ceiling is white... it took me a few minutes to notice this when I was there, I thought my camera was on the fritz.
I wanted a diffuser for my flash, and I was feeling crafty. So, I built one. It's made of cardboard, nice white paper, gaffers tape, duct tape and glue, and it took me about 3 hours to design and build.
I cut apart the prototype and traced it onto the cardboard. I did a terrible job. You don't want the pieces as close together as I made them, and you'll want to plan it out a little.

Forgot my tripod plate, so this was handheld against the tripod for 13 seconds.
Cheated in photoshop with the skew command, to take out some pyramid distortion. Some day when I have more money than sense, I'll buy a tilt-shift.
