Acer has officially announced that it is going to launch a new Windows 10-running smartphone – the Acer Jade Primo in Philippines in December with a price tag of PHP 18,990 (approx. €367 or $408). The company is calling this device “True Pocket PC” and interestingly, the handset will be shipped with a Continuum dock, keyboard and mouse. As of now, we have no official words from Acer regarding launch of the handset in other countries.
The Acer Jade Primo features a 5.5 inch AMOLED capacitive display with 1080×1920 pixels of full-HD resolution offering 401ppi of pixel density and comes with 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD. The handset features a duo of 21 (with autofocus and dual-LED flash) and 8 megapixels shooters placed on its rear and front, respectively.
Powering the Acer Jade Primo is a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 SoC which packs two Cortex-A57 cores running at 1.82GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.44GHz paired with Adreno 418 Graphics Processing Unit and 3GB of RAM. Further, connectivity options on the handset include USB Type-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, GPRS, EDGE, 3G and 4G LTE.
