Star of Hope supports dozens of schools and orphanages in Haiti. This picture was taken at the school in the village of Bois Negress lying about 100 kilometers from Port-au-Prince. The school is situated in a valley, and many of the children have far to walk to school.
The school was founded in 1987 and Star of Hope's support started in 1992. Besides the regular support Star of Hope funded the construction of school in 1994. We have also supported several development projects in the village during different periods. The school currently has around 400 pupils.
The school is regularly in need of teaching materials and maintenance.
Star of Hope would like to improve projects in Haiti further. You can also support the work. Want to learn more or become a sponsor? Visit our website www.starofhope.org or send an email to info@starofhope.org
