flightless bird.
its been an okay 4 day weekend. i went shooting yesterday with evan and james and only got a few shots. i need to develope a few rolls of film. this was the first time ive taken a bath in years. i think they are gross and you just sit in your own dirty water. 60% of my self portraits are taken in the bathroom.

Leyland started work in 1980 on a project coded B50, to design and develope a rear-engined underframe. Shortly afterwards a second project was allocated the code B54,to design and develope a body to mount on the B50, thus forming an in-house Leyland integral coach. The B50/B54 were both launched during October 1982, the complete integral coach was called the Royal Tiger Doyen and the separate underframe was called Royal Tiger. At the launch Leyland could not name the bobybuilders who would body the Royal Tiger. After approaching all the leading bodybuilders, only Plaxton and Van Hool said that they would body the Royal Tiger. Duple stayed clear, because they were developing their own in-house integral, the still-born Caribbean Integral built on a Neoplan Cityliner underframe. Jonckheere had said they were interested in bodying the Royal Tiger, but pulled out, on the 11th hour. Plaxtons built their high-floor Paramount 3500 on the Royal Tiger, the first was owned by the London Leyland Dealer- Arlington based at Potters Bar. My photograph shows the very first Van Hool Alizee (C49FT) bodied Royal Tiger (B50.11) A389 NNK, again it was owned by Arlington, I may be wrong, but this demonstrator was purchased by Jacobs of Southampton. Only 65 Royal Tigers were built between 1982-1984, with 19 built at Roe and 46 built at Workington. Leyland had priced the Royal Tiger that high, thus making the Doyen cheaper to buy than a Plaxton or Van Hool Royal Tiger. Also the Royal Tiger underframe was very complex, unlike the DAF Bus SB2300/3000 which was designed so the middle section could be removed thus making it an semi-integral.

The Mark 1 Golf was introduced in 1974 as a front wheel drive hatchback and as a replacement for the original Volkswagen Beetle, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Ital Design with a rather sharp angular look.
In 1975 a sports-oriented variant of the Volkswagen Golf, called the Golf GTI was introduced in March of that year at the Frankfurt Motor Show as a hot version powered by a 1781cc four-cylinder engine fed by a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, which helped it develope a respectable 110 PS aided by a kerbweight of just 810kg.

Kodak 2238 shot at ISO 80 with Nikon EM and DKL Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon 50mm F/1.9 in adapter. Developed in glycin-carbonate 1:10 for 60 minutes stand development. Glycin carbonate should develop underexposed film and add a bit of speed, but getting 2238 to ISO 80 was too much for the glycin. I have used 2238 with glycin before and I’m not encouraged that it will appreciably raise the ISO of this film. Very muddy and underexposed/developed. However artistically, there is a lot to exploit there. So while this isn’t great snapshot territory I love what it offers artistically or for a look from another time/place. I will give the glycin carb one last try with the 2238 but at something more approximating it’s base development window. Water stop, fixed with Ilford Hypam 1:4 for 6 minutes.

These native Trillium are turning purple as the seedpods they hold develope. The flowers are all battered from the late snows and frosts, heavy rain, some hail, bugs, a few bright sun days, then more of the wonderful wet spring days in the northwest.

Flix: I remember my Dad buying a Polaroid camera, you know the ones that developed the film, only he didn't know you had to wave them around to get it to develope quicker. Of course he bought his at a car boot sale so there were no instructions, only a spare cartridge of film. So there he is with a pocket full of pictiues all happily but slowly developing and doing a great job of sticking together. They were horrendously bad when he finally took them out. Just one of me looked ok if you half closed up your eyes and there was a mirror image of it on the inside of his shirt pocket.

Hi everyone!
Fortunately I have the time to upload my newest creation! It's a train and it's the model of an ICE 3. It is 196 stud (157 cm) long and contains more than 3300 pieces, two IR receivers, two battery boxes and two train motors. Hope you like it! Oh, and another important information is, that it will be visible on Zusammengebaut 2016 in November and on Bricks am Meer in April 2017 in Germany!
At first please watch these two videos! The first one shows a crash. The place, where I made the video, wasn't horizontal, and on the slope the train got a too high speed. Well, I can say it is quite stable construction, despite the building techniques of the front. During the crash, only the boogies fell down!

I'm really happy, that it is ready! It took me almost a year to build and become satisfied with the result. You may know, if someone build a train, the front is the most important thing. If it's not good, it's unnecessary to build the other sections. Everything started with an LDD model from a front-idea. I built something in the program, but I didn't like it. Later it came always into my mind and didn't allow me to be calm. So I started to develope the construction. Some month later it looked nice enough to order some parts and make it in real life. It contained so many interesting and strange techniques, that it was a real challenge to put the bricks together in the program, and with real bricks it was hard, too. And the real 3D model was ugly! But I said, that it has to be possible to find out something, which makes the model better. So I made some changes, and some more, and some more, and finally I liked it, and I thought that I found the maximum! I stored the train (only the front section) and some other parts on the table in the middle of our house. And one night, I couldn't sleep. I woke up and went out to the table to do something. And I don't know why, but I put an element into the middle of the front. And I said 'wow'! It was perfect (for me of course, for you, I still don't know, but I will read the comments :) )! Some gaps disappeared, some sections got new positions. That element made so big changes on the overall look, that it was incredible! I felt high, but next day I was very sleepy. :D

The Chrysler Sunbeam had been aimed at the super-mini sector when launched in 1977. But it was felt that a hot hatch was needed to boost the sporty image. To this end the Chrysler Sunbeam Ti was launched in 1979 with a 1600 cc twin Weber carbs and an output of 100 bhp
Chrysler had also commissioned Lotus to develope a rally version. The car was unveiled at the 1979 Geneva Motor show , but the road going version was not offered to the public until after the re-branding and became the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus. With a 2172 cc version of the Lotus 2.0 ltr 16v engine and ZF gearbox. This one of the later facelift cars with the modified head lights. The earlier short (134) is of a pre-facelift car with the original head lights.
The car won the World Rally Championship with Henri Toivonen in 1981 and the 1980 Lombard RAC Rally
This car appears to be a replica, based on a Chrysler Sunbeam GL with a 1295cc engine

El castell de Castellar (del Vallès), també conegut com castell de Clasquerí, de bon matí. És una de les poques fortalesses medievals autentiques del Vallès.
Placa de col•lodió sec, mètode Major Russell (col•lodió-taní), en format 4x5; realitzat amb una Graflex Crown Graphic fabricada cap al 1951; Graflex Optar f4,7 de 135mm; 5 minuts a f8 (EV 13); revelat 9:30 minuts en acid pirogallic.
Les plaques cobertes amb co•lodió (i anteriorment albuminades, part essencial del procés) es preparen com per a una placa humida usual. En el moment de treure-les del bany de plata, comença la diversió. Cal rentar la placa, sota llum roja, en dues safates d'aigua destilada, i seguidament, submerir-la en una sol•lució d'aigua, taní i etanol. Son uns 10 minutes per placa, en total. Un cop feta la exposició, encara més important el revelat també és per inmersió. Primer s’humidifica la placa seca amb aigua i etanol, i després es submergeix 5 minuts en una solució d’acid pirogalic i citric, amb unes gotes de nitrat de plata. Amb això s’inicia el revelat, però cal afegir més nitrat de plata passats els cinc minuts i usualment fins als 10-12 minuts.
Les plaques de col•lodió sec son força desconegudes però es varen fer servir en paral•lel al més famós col•lodió humit. Eren molt pràctiques per eliminar la necessitat de portar a sobre tots els quimics i una cambra fosca portatil, però com les exposicions son molt llargues, de diversos minuts com a mínim, en queden exclosos els retrats. Aquest tipus de procediment en concret, conegut com a mètode Russell, data de 1861.

This is Castellar castle, in Catalonia. It's also called Clasquerí castle. It's a medieval fortress, first documented in AD 939. Now it's a private residence, but sometimes celebrations are made there.
Dry collodion plate, Major Russell process (tannin-collodion) in 4x5 format; taken with a Graflex Speed Graphic, made c. 1951; Graflex Optar f4,7 de 135mm lens; exposed for 5 minutes at f8 (EV 13); developed 9:30 minutes in pyrogallic acid.
The dry collodion is a quite convenient "evolution" from the wet collodion, as it allows to go out there without any box of chemicals and a dark box following you. But it never gained more popularity due to it's own problems, like even more complex manipulations and specially much less sensibility, with expositions in the minutes range, limiting it to landscape photography. This method, discovered by Major Russell in 1861, uses tannin to preserve the sensitivity of the plates once dry.
Glass plates covered with collodion (and previously albuminized, an essential part of the process) are prepared as for a usual wet plate. The moment you take them out of the silver bath, the fun begins. The plate must be washed, under red light, in two trays of distilled water, and then immersed in a solution of water, tannin and ethanol. It's about 10 minutes per plate, in total
Once the exposure is made, even more important is to develope also by immersion. First, the dry plate is moistened with water and ethanol, and then immersed for 5 minutes in a solution of pyrogallic and citric acid, with a few drops of silver nitrate. This starts the development, but it is necessary to add more silver nitrate after five minutes and usually up to 10-12 minutes.
