Lydney docks were developed in the 1830s to enable a plateway to bring coal mined in the Forest of Dean to the River Severn, where it was tipped into barges for onward shipment. The last train was tipped from No.9 Tip in 1960. The site is now a conservation area. The basin is entered through a large sea lock, needed to control the very large tidal range of the River Severn, and is now a marina. The old Mortuary building is now the toilet block and various other original buildings have been re-purposed.

NASA's green aviation project is one step closer to developing technology that could make future airliners quieter and more fuel-efficient with the successful flight test of a wing surface that can change shape in flight. This past summer, researchers replaced an airplane’s conventional aluminum flaps with advanced, shape-changing assemblies that form seamless bendable and twistable surfaces. Flight testing will determine whether flexible trailing-edge wing flaps are a viable approach to improve aerodynamic efficiency and reduce noise generated during takeoffs and landings. For the initial Adaptive Compliant Trailing Edge (ACTE) flight, shown in this image, the experimental control surfaces were locked at a specified setting. Varied flap settings on subsequent tests will demonstrate the capability of the flexible surfaces under actual flight conditions. ACTE technology is expected to have far-reaching effects on future aviation. This country estate was developed during the 1890s and early 1900s by Moses and Bertha Cone, the son and daughter of German and Jewish immigrants. Moses and his brother Caesar established one of North Carolina’s largest textile empires during the late 19th and early 20th century.
Cone fashioned the estate, with its 23-room Colonial Revival mansion Flat Top Manor, as a healthful retreat from the rigors of his business empire. 25 miles of well-planned carriage roads, two man-made lakes, and apple orchards are part of the estate.
Today the manor and the entire estate are one of the most heavily used areas along the Parkway and home to the Parkway Craft Center. Carriage roads are popular for hiking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing, especially by residents of the Boone and Blowing Rock areas.
Together the Moses H. Cone Park and Julian Price Memorial Park comprise the largest developed area set aside for public recreation on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
It is on the Blue Ridge Parkway between mileposts 292 and 295 with access at milepost 294. Most locals call it Cone Park. The park is run by the National Park Service and is open to the public.

Originally developed by Hutchison Office Specialties and patented in 1919, this massive stapler always was made by Remington. In 1926 Remington took over sales and the marking on the stapler was changed to: Made and sold by Remington Typewriter Company. This model probably dates to 1928 or so. It is heavy and is 10 inches by 6¾ inches with its wood base, and stands about 4 inches high. It holds a large spool of wire that is said to make 15,000 staples. Made in U.S.A.

At this conference the ALDE Group is going to present and discuss its “Blueprint for an EU Strategy towards Russia”, which outlines how a more active EU should engage to get Moscow to respect international law and also its human rights obligations laid down in the Russian Constitution. The paper clearly defines the conditionality of engagement with the Russian Federation (including with regard to territorial integrity of Ukraine) and also the capabilities the EU needs to develop to be equipped to deal with the increasingly assertive Russia. The goal of the strategy is to contribute to strengthening the European security architecture and also to support the plurality of Russian civil society.

Bull-Dozer= The Municipal Corporation, doing continuous demolition of nomadic tribes ghetto like Sansi, Vaghari, Rajbhoi, Jogi, Bairagi etc. who were settled at one place before 60’s but today they are not having documentary proofs what Corporation demands. Due to demolition many children and old age people died on the road side of IIM-A and in Maninagar area of Ahmedabad(so called The Mega City) which is a political constituency of CM of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi. Supreme Court gave his inhuman judgment about encroachment without providing them any kind of alternate. This film has tried to become voice of many voiceless people who are socially, economically and politically marginalized and also stigmatized ‘Criminal’ by legal and judiciary system.
I should add that when I saw a dead little baby on footpath of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.The death was due to sleep in extreme cold weather without warm clothes as municipal corporation took all the clothes of so-called encroaches. From the Anger to the present system which is not for poor and day by day they are living more harsh life without dignity and this is how the film Bull Dozer was born.
My first 35mm roll of Sensia came out great, so I went ahead and took one to a Thanksgiving dinner (which is why most of these aren't publicly visible) but HOO BOY this roll was clearly NOT from the same batch.
Developed it in CineStill's kit with the "D9 Dynamic Chrome" first developer alongside a 120 roll of Provia 100 that was also expired.
The Provia dried black and clear pretty quickly, but this roll is only barely any better than it looked coming off the reel initially.
Images recorded faintly and the sports that should be black between and around the frames are the color of Crest toothpaste.

Part of the UNU-WIDER SOUTHMOD project run in collaboration with ISSER, the University of Tampere, and the University of Essex, the meeting also provided a forum for joint discussion on the ways ahead in terms of model updating and promoting their use.

A developing Supercell across far Northeast Wisconsin on July 1 2017. Only isolated storms were expected, but this beast began to develop along an old outflow boundary from a storm early in the afternoon. Aiding in the development was a lake breeze boundary. The updraft was so explosive.
