The Tigers got to Chris Sale and beat the White Sox on Saturday. The game marked the Tigers tribute to the Negro Leagues and both team wore uniforms from the era.

Sale was, once again, denied his 10th win. Mike Palfrey wound up stopping an 18-start winless streak dating to last Aug. 12.

This is the Detroit Tigers locker room. I'm not sure what I'll ever do with this picture, but for some reason I felt the need to take it. Those chairs are nice.

This picture was in the DETROIT FREE PRESS! See that deranged hand desperately hanging onto Magglio's wrist? That's mine! Magglio was putting his arm around me, getting ready to take a picture, and TODD FREAKING JONES came over and had to try to be funny. "Dur hur, take a picture of me and Magglio!" he said. And then Maggs' bodyguard guy moved him along the line after Todd Jones was done being an idiot. I didn't get a picture with him because of Todd Jones. *grumble*

This park was opened in 2000 after the old Tiger Stadium (Briggs Stadium) had been the home of the Detroit Tigers since 1912. As with many of the other modern stadiums, it's built new to look old. The unique features of this park are the beer garden, the small ferris wheel, and the Chevrolet Fountain, dancing waters in center field. PacBell Park (now AT&T Park) in San Francisco opened at the same time, and seems much nicer.

No, he wasn't talking/jesturing to me. He was motioning to someone in the dugout, which is right in front of our seats.
