This is the Detroit Tigers locker room. I'm not sure what I'll ever do with this picture, but for some reason I felt the need to take it. Those chairs are nice.

Michigan Army National Guardsman Staff Sgt. Nowicki is an operations and training sergeant assigned to the 1st Battalion, 119th Field Artillery Regiment, based in Lansing, Mich., and was selected to deliver the game ball to the pitcher’s mound as the Tigers took on the Boston Red Sox. Nowicki deployed with the 119th to Kuwait in 2010 as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear defense specialist and was recognized by the Tigers for his service to the U.S. Armed Forces. This picture was in the DETROIT FREE PRESS! See that deranged hand desperately hanging onto Magglio's wrist? That's mine! Magglio was putting his arm around me, getting ready to take a picture, and TODD FREAKING JONES came over and had to try to be funny. "Dur hur, take a picture of me and Magglio!" he said. And then Maggs' bodyguard guy moved him along the line after Todd Jones was done being an idiot. I didn't get a picture with him because of Todd Jones. *grumble*

This park was opened in 2000 after the old Tiger Stadium (Briggs Stadium) had been the home of the Detroit Tigers since 1912. As with many of the other modern stadiums, it's built new to look old. The unique features of this park are the beer garden, the small ferris wheel, and the Chevrolet Fountain, dancing waters in center field. PacBell Park (now AT&T Park) in San Francisco opened at the same time, and seems much nicer.
