Winter Storm Destiny has been blanketing Southern New England with snow since 5AM this morning. We're expecting total accumulation of 5 to 10 inches through tomorrow morning. A little bit of the landscape outside the house.

Destiny is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. Released on September 9, 2014, Destiny marked Bungie's first new franchise since the Halo series. Set in a "mythic science fiction" setting, the game features a massively-multiplayer "shared-world" environment with elements of role-playing games.

I picked a small potato, standing all alone on a large plate, facing an instrument of it's doom. Its destiny is to be peeled, cooked and eaten - an inevitable, irresistible course of events. I positioned the potato so that the "eyes" of the potato are facing the fork - no blindfold for this little tuber! The small potato on the large white plate shows that the potato has nowhere to hide from the fork. The inner gold ring on the plate reminded me of a bull ring - the place where the bull meets it's destiny. The fork has the reflection of the potato in it at the base of the prongs, the gaps of which are cutting into the potato. To get this effect the fork is nearly standing up. This image was shot in a large light tent, illuminated by two flash guns.

I originally started playing Destiny on the Xbox One-- up until Taken King, then switched to PS4. My Xbox character was a Titan, and my PS4 main was a Warlock. For Destiny 2, I'm going to head it up with a Titan.

It’s a shame that the Aquazone visor is transparent, but it works so well for a Warlock mini-figure. Lego didn’t produce this element in a solid blue. I guess it works out for Stormtrance though.

This time for a change it was the lovely stranger who approached me on the street. She was impressed by my camera and lens, she said, which is probably quite normal for a photography student, I was to find out soon enough.
Destiny, 21 y/o, was very kind and gave me some ideas to get online photo stuff much cheaper than elsewhere. All I need for now is a strap to lift off the weight I feel on my neck.
We chatted a bit about her school and some personal matters. She was on her way to her boyfriend with a bowl of lunch.
As we parted she asked me whether I was OK with her telling her photography class about our spontaneous encounter.
Sure thing, I said and gave her one of my cards.
