Minmal Rainmeter 3D Desktop.
Here is what I used:
The Time Rainmeter is called Pikzeloid for Rainmeter.
I need my desktop to be functional, but I didn't want any icons so I used Text Items to launch my applications/shortcuts using WP7 for rainmeter.
The weather is from garbanzox for rainmeter.
The CPU/MEM etc... is called Elementary for Rainmeter.
I customized most of the skins to have the Century Gothic fonts for a standardized look.
Full range desktop loudspeaker finished in santos rosewood veneer. Speaker plate cut from 1.6mm sheet and scrubbed to give a light brushed finish. The M3 stainless button heads screw in to nuts recessed in the back of the speaker.
My setup updated:
Visible apps: Adium, Stattoo, Yojimbo, iTunes, Flock
Menubar: Adium, Desktopple, Netbarrier
Running but not shown: Quicksilver, Growl, PeerGuardian
Wallpaper: Finder from InterfaceLIFT (http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper)
Icons: Main set = AquaBlend also from InterfaceLIFT
Clutter icon: from the Fight Club icon set (also InterfaceLIFT)
Mischief Icon: Geek Sweets from PixelGirl
Projects Icon: Glass Invaders (InterfaceLIFT)
Shapeshifter theme: Cube from MacThemes (http://macthemes2.net/2007/05/17/hirogens-cube/)
P.S. I use the different icons for frequently used folders for a number of reasons, mainly so that I can identify them quickly on the desktop, and also I have shortcuts for them in the toolbar of the finder navigation windows.
