Our approach has always been one that embraces collaboration as a fundamental part of what we do.
Over the last ten years we have worked with highly talented individuals, teams and companies from all over the world that help bring our vision to life.
Join the Dots is a celebration of the spirit of collaboration.
A simple idea. A consistent frame for a multitude of work. A single dot, each representing one collaborator, each a connection to another.
Each collaborator is given a template of a dot in a fixed position on an A2 portrait poster. Each interpreted this in their own way.
These are the first 25. There will be 100 in total and be collated into a book and exhibition.
Thanks to all that have contributed so far and for those that are still to come.
This features the original draft of the logo text. It was a bit crude so we tweaked the F and relationship between the VE to create a better balance visually for the final logo.
So you may have noticed a distinct lack of db activity on our flickr page. The above logo is the reason why. We've just completed a comprehensive rebrand for Channel Five. It took 3 and a bit very hectic months of working in a cloud of secrecy. We're now free to show the work so we'll start to upload the elements and some behind the scenes.
How do you present a whole TV channel to the client? In a big white box. We favour physical presentations rather than onscreen and make each presentation bespoke to the project. For Five we created an A2 white box housing all components of the channel. Even with TV work we like the tactile quality of printouts for the first formal presentation. It feels more impressive and is much more interactive.
