2012 IPA Awards Honorable mention in the category Architecture / Buildings
Architect: UNStudio / Ben van Berkel
The design for the Education Executive Agency and Tax Office building, accommodating 2,500 employees, reflects and caters for the separate identities of both user groups, whilst simultaneously creating synergy by means of shared use of secondary spaces – among which underground parking facilities, public gardens, a central hall and a pavilion for commercial functions. The aerodynamic form of the building has been achieved as the result of extensive sun and wind studies. The terraces, rounded corners and façade design guarantee minimum disruption to the microclimate of the surrounding urban green space, known as the ‘Sterrenbos’, whilst integrating sun shading, wind regulation, daylight penetration and construction in one concept, with the result that both material and energy use are minimised.

Our approach has always been one that embraces collaboration as a fundamental part of what we do.
Over the last ten years we have worked with highly talented individuals, teams and companies from all over the world that help bring our vision to life.
Join the Dots is a celebration of the spirit of collaboration.
A simple idea. A consistent frame for a multitude of work. A single dot, each representing one collaborator, each a connection to another.
Each collaborator is given a template of a dot in a fixed position on an A2 portrait poster. Each interpreted this in their own way.
These are the first 25. There will be 100 in total and be collated into a book and exhibition.
Thanks to all that have contributed so far and for those that are still to come.
Another random set of colours. We like to choose the colour palette early in a project - though often it changes completely at the eleventh hour.
Sometimes, a girl's just gotta change with the seasons! This beautiful guest was perhaps inspired by the changing of the leaves herself this Fall when she visited our talented stylist, Dianna, to help her transition from her golden summer tone, to this vibrant, rich and sexy, copper red for Autumn! Dianna also added a bold bang which really helps to emphasize the dynamic color!
The G Michael Salon Design Team is highly anticipating your upcoming appointments to see what your idea of transitioning to Fall looks like. We have LOTS of great ideas and different, unique options for making a statement this season!

Our first [new] presentation to renew. A first draft collated from lots of sources - we're aiming to clarify the product and system offering as they go to market.
