Looking up from the basement of the Design Center. It was pouring rain and putting on a good show. We were supposed to make night photos at the camera club meeting tonight, but this is as far as we ventured outdoors. I like this one though. It's a one minute exposure at f16. I was waiting for a lightning bolt.

All right class, I mean folks, this week we are going to study post WWII Russian graphic design. A perestroika poster by Savosstiuk 1988. "Don't Be Afraid of Work".
GDR era fluorescent signage for "nahrungs und genussmittel". Note the gold coloured metal door and window frames; these were widely used in the GDR.
I made the leap to professionally designed and printed labels. I'm so happy!

Most of her dressing ideas come from his clients who he treats with great care. He is a quiet and discreet and well liked.

Henry Steiner was born in cross-culture Vienna, raised in cross-culture New York, educated at Yale by instructors Paul Rand and Joseph Albers of the Bauhaus as head of the Yale art department. He has been an international designer for many years with a base in Hong Kong.
The world is flat and getting flatter by the day.
This illustration was created for a screenprint workshop I was involved in at university nearly 7 months ago.
We were told to bring in an image, but I decided to hand draw mine (I grew up as an illustrator from when I was too young to walk!), and having worked extensively on computers on my Graphic Design course, my drawings had become a little rusty.
So this was just a fun way to let loose and see if I could still work the magic!
This is one of the graphic concepts I produced having scanned some photography from the session and some of my prints into the computer. Really simple stuff, not very polished but I quite like the heavy ink effect - makes it seem alive!
I thought the stained glass and alcoves of Mem Chu would provide a nice HDR exposure range.
I’ll be heading over to the Stanford d.school later today for the Creating Infectious Action mini conference with Paul Saffo and some other blokes.
