while others slide down. the sliders have more fun, living on the edge, allowing the fear to come and rising above it, allowing their stomach to plummet, their head to spin, their vocal chords to scream. they both go through life, but the sliders live it while the descenders tiptoe through barely disturbing the house. the sliders may fall, but they can always get back up, climb the stairs and slide down again, knowing that life goes on and they will too. it's never too late to become a slider, it's never too late to live life. vivre la vie.

... I descend to the sunny kitchen for breakfast. My old friend Mrs Blackbird, who raised two or three broods of chicks on our birdfood back in the summer, still turns up for winter supplies for herself.

The roads were not in great condition, but they were twisty and fast. Lots of fun to descend. Though I would stop and wait as I didn't want Taska to have an accident and for it to take me another hour to climb back up and try and find her.
The sun descends and so do we. Passing another alpine lake (Lagoona Yuracchoca) on the way to camp after crossing the highest pass of the trek.
