Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. This well groomed guy sat motionless as the Christmas shopping hoards passed by. Thank you all for supporting my photography and I hope that you have had a wonderful festive time.

A walk along the beach at Southbourne as the sun begins to rise. The beach huts a glowing golden colour. Bournemouth Dorset January 2017.

Met this deer while I was doing some photography earlier this Summer. It took a few moment for this deer to accept me in its "friends' circle". View large

The fog is about to vaporize, and the first sunrays hit a single straw amongst many

“Journalism can never be silent: that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air.”

A flower from my garden for you my friends,

enjoy the weekend

I've been going through some older photos and I came across this one. Although I didn't think it was good enough to publish at the time, it's grown on me.

Just a little more experimenting. A bit more magnification this time.

Spin-a-rific! More fun with light and focus sculpting.

I love this photo due to the composition (Hopefully I have got the idea of composition correct). I shot this photo from the warmth of my car with the window down. Using the rule of thirds I have got the horse as the central part of the photograph, I also wanted the stone wall and metal gate to be a mainstay of this picture and so adjusted my DoF to put these in the shot but out of focus.

I wanted the horse so that it would be in focus where the stone drops down and with the post of the gate visible, also in focus is the wintery backdrop of the frost coloured hill and tree's.

I hope you like this shot as much as I love it.

Piercing candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Captured in front of the monument and statue to Wellington, who is always wearing a traffic cone, I am mesmerised by this guy's expression. To me one half of his face appears to be angry and the other half appears to be curious. Thank you all for supporting my street photography.

I don't know if it's wheat or what... it's just a small field in the suburban area near where I live, so I doubt they're harvesting lots of wheat, but who knows...

Working on my 2017 Calendar - here is a working version of this years cover.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Lose yourself in music and feed the soul. Just one way to isolate yourself from the crowd in the city. Enjoy!

We have had a horse chestnut tree in our yard for years. My kids used to collect them because they are so pretty. They have almost wood-like grain to them. Now the shell - that's a different story. Step on one of those babies in your bare feet and you'll know it!

But lately the tree has been dying. Even the nuts look different. I'll miss the tree when we finally have to remove it. . . P1230434
