depth of field practice

YEP, IT'S A FLOWER - For the $13 I put into it (besides the broken lens), this lens produces some great images.

I though this photograph was a good complement to my shallow depth of field of the same objects. I used an F-Stop of 8 at 1/90. This allows a deep depth of field. The backyard and trees are clearly in focus with the hanging eagle.

A piece of paper photographed at my desk and turned green in PS.

Same shot taken with all available apertures to study differences between f-stops. (f/22)

Depth of Field is fun!

Technical - F/2.8, shutter speed 1/400 sec, overcast sky diffused light from window in the front of my house, 2:00 PM

Composition - Dog is symmetrical in the Fram with her eyes on the upper thirds of the frame.

Content - My was looking out the window waiting for more people to come home and was very nicely lit by the window so I had her look at me, and since there wasn't a very interesting background, I wanted her symmetrical just so you could know that she is the important thing in the frame.
