Blueberries from the garden. Frozen in August, and now set out to make muffins. Crystals have begun to form on their skin. (Of course they aren't really this blue!)

"Peony petals are edible and can add a delicate floral flavor to various dishes. They can be used to make teas, syrups, jellies, and jams, providing a subtle sweetness with a hint of spice or ginger," according to my google search. We've got more than ten peony plants in our garden. So many petals, and it would be a shame to waste them. I think it's high time I make some use of them, eh?
Thank you so much for your visits, comments and likes! They are encouraging as I continue on my photographic journey.
This arrived in the post today.
Gorgeous enough by itself....
but inside the most wonderful gift ....Helen's amazingly beautiful book.
Thankyou my dear friend

I was profusely stirring creamy thick and delicious porchini risotto, partially drooling over the pot and partially listing to the storm Barney sending its greetings from the outside.
I couldn't resist the temptation and I had to cheekily peek out the window.
They there were. My favorite clouds kissing me with chunky warm hello.
I had to greet them with a proper welcome. I took out my fancy camera and got clicking.
Result - I burnt my porchini risotto.
However I felt thoroughly satisfied filling myself up through other senses.
From the contemplation of the little people - isn't life full of gifts, beauty, magic and miracles, if you are willing to "see" it?
A very delicious fruit indeed!! I really enjoyed eating this Mangosteen. I had two of them actually!! What a great tropical fruit. I found them at my local organic produce store, Kunara Organics.
Now I really feel the landscape. I can be bold and include every tone of pink and blue: it's enchanting, it's delicious.

We've been having afternoon heat showers .. just about every day now. I couldn't help myself, and on my way home I stopped the car and took a few pictures!
