Ah, 'Les French', they sure know how to do things, don't they!

Zoom right in to see how succulent they really are. Mmm!

Instructions for use :

For that extra crunchiness, gently place one end of the skewer in your mouth, close your teeth, close your eyes (as if you were about to enjoy something) and slide one or two off at a time. And then, start crunching! Yummy!

A slimy snail by any other name* couldn't taste any better.

Well, if that doesn't make your mouth water, I give up!

Take care, my friends, and many thanks for calling,

Smile on Saturday theme : In spooky company

Tiny and her toy.

Posted for Happy Caturday theme "Cats and fabric"

For today's theme I chose macaroon-shaped soaps. We have an artist in town who makes pastry-shaped soap creations. I chose the Morello cherry, Crunchy Nougat and Caramel and salted butter scents.

The soaps are approximately 2.5 cm in diameter.

Featuring goodies @ The Warehouse Sale!

Eiderente auf der Ostsee - Eider Duck on the Baltic Sea

*English*

Eider ducks live mainly on mussels up to 40 millimetres in size, and their diet also includes snails, crustaceans and - unlike other duck species - fish.

The eider preys on mussels either by searching the mudflats or by diving into the water. With the help of its powerful bill, it is able to tear mussels off their base or dig for them in the mudflats.

The mussels are eaten with their shells. They are cracked in their strong gizzard; the duck then excretes the shell debris as spit balls. The salt taken in with the food is released again via salt glands in the forehead.

A young bull moose wears part of its evening meal as a "hood ornament" as it blissfully feeds in a Colorado mountain lake. He was a very exuberant feeder as he happily munched and splashed about and was totally oblivious to us as we sat by the lake's shoreline.
