When my grandniece was around 3 years old, if she liked what she was eating it was always "juicy and delicious". I bought some New Forest strawberries from our local farm shop yesterday and they truly were juicy and delicious and........ very big.

Sausage Roll (with Tomato Sauce)
For Macro Monday - Guilty Pleasure
I do love a good Sausage Roll, with some tomato sauce.
For those not familiar with them the ingredients include Beef Mince, Sausage Mince, Egg, Grated Carrot, Worcestershire Sauce, Garlic and Onion - all wrapped in Puff Pastry.
This one (a King Sized one) measures 54 mm across.
And yes, I enjoyed eating it after I took the shot!

I found this very nice specimen of delicious oyster mushrooms on a dead poplar.

My partner works in the community as a carer, and he gets to witness the best and worst in people. The former includes a small number of people who give him home grown produce as a special thanks for the care he provides with politeness and attention to detail. What they don't know is that he can't even boil an egg! Luckily, I am the cook out of the two of us and happily use what he is given. In this case, not only will this freshly picked lemon soon become part of a Lemon Delicious pudding, it also serves as a suitable subject for this week's "Looking Close on Friday" theme.
