Fort Dunree on the Inishowen Peninsula, Buncrana, County Donegal, Ireland
This is an outdoor museum and all the old buildings and guns etc remain exactly as they were left around 1947 just right after world war 2. It is an amazing place full of history and it just leaves me breathless on how well preserved this area still remains!
These beautiful colours on the walls are due to decades of old paint faking off! The pools of water on the floor also create amazing reflections, so delicate and untouched...

This is totally not what I had in mind when I shot it, or when I first started editing. It just happened. I was thinking I wanted something with more "pop," but I ended up really loving this softer tone. I don't know if anybody else will like it, but it makes me happy. :) Although I do think the vignette is a bit heavy, but the shadows at the bottom were so heavy that it looked REALLY wonked without it.
I'd always wanted to see Delicate Arch with some snow, so when I was traveling across Colorado a couple winters ago and saw that it was snowing in Moab, I headed straight to the trailhead in Utah's Arches National Park.

Sunset at Delicate Arch in the Arches National Park, Utah. Two or three hundred photographers were gathered here waiting for this shot, chatting, teaching, and just being nice to each other. Then the show began. People moved out of the shot and went silent. Cameras clicked. The light went and we all packed up and made our 2 mile journey back to cars in semi darkness. What a great evening!

Yesterday evening, 24 March 2016, we had a mix of snow and rain falling and I felt like finding something bright and cheery to post this morning. At least in my area of the city, no snow had settled anywhere, which was a relief. The ground is wet, which is desperately needed, especially for farmers. The temperature is 4C and the sky is a mix of cloud and small patches of blue sky. The next two days look good (Easter weekend), but mixed precipitation is in the forecast for the coming week.
