L’alimentation désigne, par définition, l'action de s'alimenter. Elle relève donc de la nourriture et par conséquent des aliments qui permettent à un organisme vivant de fonctionner, de survivre. Elle caractérise aussi la manière de s'alimenter, qui s'intéresse davantage au domaine social et éthique.

Eating (also known as consuming) is the ingestion of food, typically to provide a heterotrophic organism with energy and to allow for growth. Animals and other heterotrophs must eat in order to survive — carnivores eat other animals, herbivores eat plants, omnivores consume a mixture of both plant and animal matter, and detritivores eat detritus. Fungi digest organic matter outside their bodies as opposed to animals that digest their food inside their bodies. For humans, eating is an activity of daily living. Some individuals may limit their amount of nutritional intake. This may be a result of a lifestyle choice, due to hunger or famine, as part of a diet or as religious fasting.

I was going to use Scrabble pieces for another photo assignment I was doing. When I dumped out the pieces, I noticed they spelled several words. I saw the 'W', the 'O' and the 'S' as they are in this shot, and decided to put in the 'R' and the 'D'. I didn' t end up using this shot for that assignment, but it definitely fit in the category of interesting.

I love to cook and bake--don't know why I enjoy all the work, but I think the praise I get for is generally a big part of it :)

The non-traditional cookies are for me--I am a chocolate dessert person. The mixed berry pie is for the in-laws who are not really chocolate dessert people.
