"Bumblebees of Ohio and the Great Lakes" with Dr. Randall J. Mitchell, Professor of Biology, University of Akron and Director of the University of Akron Field Station, Glenny Professor of Biology and Tom Romito, Board Member and President Emeritus, Western Cuyahoga Audubon

Presenter: Dr. Randall J. Mitchell, Professor of Biology, University of Akron

Date: Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.

Location: Rocky River Nature Center, 24000 Valley Pkwy, North Olmsted, OH 44070

Program Description: Nineteen species of bumble bee are historically known from Ohio, but only about 10 of them may be found found now. Some were never common, but several once abundant species are now in steep decline with two species in danger of becoming extinct not only in Ohio, but globally. Habitat loss, introduced parasites, and pesticides are the most likely causes of these declines. Dr. Randall Mitchell, from the University of Akron, will share with us bumble bee identification and how habitat management can help bumble bees in the program, "Bumblebees of Ohio and the Great Lakes".

How I spent my son's 18th birthday!

internal design for Definition 6 party. posters, t-shirts, whoopie cusions, ribbons and keychains carried this basic look and feel as well.

There was a heavy frost last night and the much of the school grounds were white with the cold. As the morning went on and the sun got above the trees, the grounds started to green.

„New“ bedeutet aber noch lange nicht gut oder besser.

Darüber diskutierten wir mit Marion King, Gründerin und Geschäftsführerin, Les Enfants Terribles.

Don’t know why I found this funny, but may be you will too… I was posting to Twitter and I was looking at one of the words I used, mow.

It just didn’t quite look right spelt M-O-W, like C-O-W, so I guess that’s what was throwing me off. So I looked it up in Mac OS X’s Dictionary application and found the above definition - complete with word usage.

I guess the word usage highlighted in blue above, just made me giggle… Yep, those examples just leap into my mind when I think of the word mow.

And I don’t know who the hell Roger is, but I wish he would come mow my grass! I’m tiered of doing it!!

Rational Numbers Definition We start numbers from 1, 2, 3... & call these numbers Natural Numbers. One new member zero was added to this family of numbers & the new set of numbers was named as Whole Numbers. Then we learnt about Integers which include whole numbers as well as all negative numbers.

June 19, 2002 - Kearney Nebraska

Another impressive June Nebraska Thunder-boomer...

Within a span of 2 weeks we had 10 days of Severe Thunderstorms. 13 Tornadoes within a 2 week window, all right here in south central Nebraska.

I had some luck again today.... another nasty storm was a brewing on that afternoon. Outflow dominate, this shelf cloud rolled and some nice definitions with some kewl striations as it passed right over the city of Kearney. Tons of cloud to ground lightning with this storm.
