I started this page to try out and play with a new product: gouache paints. Gouache is a cross between a watercolor and an acrylic. I'd never even heard of them until recently so I bought a couple of tubes and here we go! I applied the paint with a round make-up sponge to give it a smoothness. More on next photos
This rhody is found at Homestead Park here in University Place, Washington. Unlike Dora Amateis, which is also located in Homestead Park (and further along in my photostream), this lovely rhody is in the purple/fucshia range of color with a deep red throat.
