Everything is starting to bloom in our local gardens and this beautiful opening deep pink Alium beauty was very striking. It showed well against the garden background of other plants creating a nice Bokeh.

I think these are Japanese Iris. We have several clumps of them and they tend to put out a few blossoms each year per clump. This year, this clump put out a very full set of blooms. Two rhododendrons can be seen in the background.

Whatcom Falls Park is a really amazing urban park. There is a fish hatchery, a pond, a canyon with multiple waterfalls and a WPA-era stone bridge. The forest is deep and cool. A really nice place to walk and unwind.
