I had to lie down on slimy rocks to take this and this other photographer walked into my shot. I was a bit annoyed at first but then realised he would give it a sense of scale.
There were waves washing up really close to me as well.
Definitely worth the effort though.

This is to give you guys a break from my China pics. Enjoy the short break. More China pics to come.
Got here about 5:30am, just before sun popped up and the deep blue disappeared. It was a cold crisp sunday morning and I forgot to bring my gloves and beanie. My fingers were numb after about 30mins.

A cracking sky for the FOCUS shoot at Dee Why this morning. The colour was out early, then disappeared before making a brief comeback.
Definitely worth getting out of bed early.

Taken at Dee Why Beach (NSW, Australia) during sunrise, the strong golden glow wasn't caused by the sun, but rather, the strong incandescent lamp. There was a breeze, thus a slight motion on the leaves of the pine tree - but not strong enough to make it blurry.
Since this is the beachfront, I was fortunate enough that not so many people are walking or jogging this time. There were a few people around, but avoided this scene. I'm thankful as I don't need to clone them out :) Anyway, having moving people when shooting HDR is really a mess.
I shot this using HDR (high dynamic range) imaging. I bracketed 9 expsosures. During post process, only 7 photos were used as both extreme exposures doesn't add up to the tone-mapped photo.
Another fortunate event is the less flaring of the street lamp. I was expecting the lamps to flare more and would mess the photo, but good thing it didn't.
