While attempting to take a picture the camera slipped giving me this blur. I really liked the results when I pulled it up on the computer. Thanks Jen, I do hope you enjoy this too!
This is my 2000th image on flickr. Over the past few days I was actually thinking about which picture to upload to celebrate the occasion. When I walked past these tree trunks, neatly stacked and peeled and obviously marked with the flickr colors the choice was made.

La iglesia San Nicolás de Potsdam (en alemán, St. Nikolaikirche) es una iglesia luterana erigida en la plaza del Mercado Viejo (Alter Markt) en Potsdam. El edificio de planta central en estilo clasicista y dedicado a san Nicolás fue construido según los planos de Karl Friedrich Schinkel en los años 1830 a 1837. El tambor de la iglesia de 77 metros de altura que domina los tejados de la ciudad fue construido más tarde, desde 1843 hasta 1850. Su construcción fue asumida por Ludwig Persius y, desde 1845, por Friedrich August Stüler. Es una de las pocas obras que subsisten de Schinkel.

St. Nicholas of Potsdam Church (German for St. Nikolaikirche) is a Lutheran church erected on the Old Market Square (Alter Markt) in Potsdam. The central floor building in the classicist style dedicated to Saint Nicholas was built according to the plans of Karl Friedrich Schinkel in the years 1830 to 1837. The 77 meter high church drum that dominates the roofs of the city was built later , from 1843 to 1850. Its construction was taken over by Ludwig Persius and, from 1845, by Friedrich August Stüler. It is one of the few remaining works of Schinkel.
Towards the end of World War II, the church was attacked during the airstrike in Potsdam and was subsequently severely damaged by Soviet artillery fire. After many years of reconstruction, the church was re-consecrated in 1981 by St. Nicholas Evangelical Parish, Potsdam, and today it is open to visitors. In addition to the normal church services, concert events also take place in the church.
Dedicated in early 2008, this bronze statue of Mr. Cub stands just north of the font enteramce to Wrigley Field. The recognition was long overdue.

La gazza ladra, The Thieving Magpie, is a melodramma or opera semiseria in two acts by the Italian composer Gioachino Rossini, with a libretto by Giovanni Gherardini based on La pie voleuse by Théodore Baudouin d'Aubigny and Louis-Charles Caigniez.
According to legend, before the first performance of the opera, the producer assured the composition of the overture by locking Rossini in a room, from the window of which the composer threw out the sheets of music to the copyists who then wrote the orchestral parts, to complete the composition of the opera.
As such, The Gazza Ladra is best known for the ouverture, which is musically notable for the use of snare drums. Stanley Kubrick has taken the overture to achieve bizarre and dramatic effects in "'A Clockwork Orange". This memorable section in Rossini's overture evokes the image of the opera's main subject: a devilishly clever, thieving magpie.

The present sanctuary was dedicated in 1887 after being located in four other locations around downtown Macon. The Sanctuary contains many interested Christian symbols to enhance our worship. Among them: the presence of the trefoil (a symbol of the Trinity); the presence of the quatrefoil (a traditional Christian symbol of 4 overlapping circles); a beautiful stained-glass rose window; and 12 beautiful stained glass windows depicting the life of Jesus. Also of architectural note, the inside of the sanctuary roof is shaped like an upside-down ship’s hull, using the traditional Christian symbol of a boat to reflect that safety and sanctuary can be found in this holy space.
Beneath the sanctuary is the Great Room, a smaller gathering place and home to the Faithful Followers Sunday School Department. It was christened “The Great Room” in 2004, after a renovation, in appreciation of “The Greatest Generation,” the older members of FBCX who given their time, resources, and talents through the years to make First Baptist a place of worship, discipleship, missions and fellowship.

OK - not taken in The Wild, here is a citizen of The Bronx Zoo. The zoo is known for large habits, I enjoyed zooming away at Bear, Zebra, Giraffes, and even took an x rated pic of mating mongoose.

This Roman Catholic cathedral is dedicated to Saint Lawrence (San Lorenzo), and is the seat of the Archbishop of Genoa. The cathedral was consecrated by Pope Gelasius II in 1118 and was built between the twelfth century and the fourteenth century. The main facade is Gothic from the early thirteenth century. The bell tower and dome were built in the sixteenth century.
