When human longing is consummated by the silence of God, we are fully created as self-forgetful vehicles of compassion. Life will continue to involve pain, struggle, and duress. But pain, decluttered of the biting and chewing chatter that says life should be other than it is at this very moment, is very good practice, even if there is still a good deal of biting, chewing chatter involved.

Decluttered, grouped, saved

Waning means getting smaller. Gibbous refers to shape; less than full circle.

Waning Moon meaning: This represents a time of reflection, purging and decluttering. Time to let go of people and things that no longer serve you...

For those of us born under the Waning Gibbous Moon phase, we’re natural healers. We’re the caretakers of the universe and are determined to leave it better than we found it.

The Waning Gibbous Moon phase gives us a spectacular intuition, or more accurately, a great connection to our mind’s eye. We can look at someone, or a situation, and see the puzzle pieces that are out of order or missing.

We do well to remember that the metaphor of decluttering does not imply a clearly delineated succession of stages; for the clutter of the mind comes and goes and comes again, in a process much like keeping house or trying to keep our desks clear of heaped-up paper and notes. We cannot map what is essentially unchartable…

… The mind cleared of clutter allows the grounding radiance of unitive mind to manifest the fullness that is its essence, both in time and in eternity.

Week 23 in 52 Weeks for Dogs. and here is Tasku reclining on our brand new ottoman.

I'm almost caught up in the group - I was horrified when I realised just how many weeks of commenting I'd missed while we have been so busy at home decluttering, traipsing round furniture stores, getting ready for the decorator to come in, then having the conservatory roof replaced, new carpet laid in the living room, trips to charity shops and more. We are now having a break before we decide what to do next - we still have a lot to get through. My apologies to everyone in the group and thanks for your continued views, favourites and comments on my weekly photos.

Again the art of HD decluttering spews out another overlooked shot. Taken last summer (2014) at Nunnington Hall, somewhere in Yorkshire.

Recently, Jave, Alan, and I ventured up the California coastline to see the world’s tallest trees – the coastal redwoods. During late spring, wild rhododendrons nestled within the redwood forests bloom with pink flowers.

After much debate on when to head out, we finally decided on heading out by noon on day 1 with plans to squeeze in some shooting before sunset. Flying up Hwy 101, we managed to make it to the redwoods an hour and half prior to sunset. This ended up being one of the best calls of the weekend. Dense marine fog began rolling into the coastline by mid-afternoon and engulfed the groves of redwoods and rhododendrons in fog. It ended up that this evening was the time we had dense fog within the rhododendron groves during our 3-day stay. The presence of fog made a huge difference in the scene, decluttering the background and giving the scene and eerie yet beautiful aura.

It was a pleasure walking among these giants but seeing the vibrant pink rhododendrons blooms was the icing on the cake.

I have taken off four inches from my waistline on my diet, so far!

My new pants size is 38 inches, down from 42 inches two months ago.

A finding in today's decluttering - a pic of my aunt at my grandparents' house right before it got demolished in 1993 (I think).

The aunt passed away last week.

This looked so much better in my camera. :/ I didn't do anything to it.

Am in the process of decluttering my room which I said quite a few times in these project and yet never quite succeeded. In one months time, I will be in the two hundreds and that much nearer to the end.

Gotta get busy now.

Shmobist Info You can see the lamp there yo!

I have reprocessed this because I'm in a summer mood - of course - and wanted to do away with my original "Fall Colors 3" shot.

Even in summer - when I can not get there,I miss the ocean.

When I look out . . my soul is at rest.

The lineside around here has been greatly decluttered over the past few weeks and this is a good example, opening up a view for photography that hasn't been on for years - and perfect for the sun at this time of day The M56 overbridge can be seen in the background.

As I was decluttering and discarding so many old things a few months back I came across this old 1963 Newspaper from my birthplace and decided to save it for a post today. This is not political but simply a recollection of history and remembering. I was at home at the time playing my guitar, before going to work a second shift where I was employed. This Newspaper folded many years ago in the late 60's I think and there was one other The Buffalo Evening News and like so many today they are also destined to history because of a decline in readership. I still read a paper, but then again I am of the generation that still valued news through reading. R.I.P. J.F.K. ........

(82/366) The decluttering has started in earnest now we have found our new home. As we're downsizing to a small cottage we certainly won't have room for all of the "stuff" we've acquired over the years. This is a pretty little Faience plate made by HB Henriot in Quimper, France, one of several Henriot pieces on our kitchen dresser. The Breton design is very distinctive. We visited the actual pottery there about 14 years ago. Interesting place, all of the pieces are hand painted. Some of the dinner services were so expensive, I was afraid the kids might break something & we'd have to pay for it!

Day 28: Okay, so I don't normally have my shot of the day done by 9:30am (or even 9:30pm for that matter), but today I need to tackle a bunch of errands. I have my father visiting, a rare event, from Florida in a few days, and I need to convert my home office into a guest room. That means decluttering, cleaning, and more. Now, I wish old Picasso's words were applicable to household dust. I'd get to enjoy doing something creative, and all the dust that's gathered on my bookshelf would simply disappear. Unfortunately, good old-fashioned elbow grease is in order. That's only the beginning of the things I need to do, but I won't bore you any further with the details. Day 28, you are the weakest link...goodbye! : )

I've been decluttering, sending boxes of stuff to Pearl's where all proceeds go towards our local Women’s Centre. Today's efforts brought out bags and purses to go. As for Tessa ....

This is a shot from my recent session with Snowy Owls on January 29. I rejected this one because of the distracting fence post mergers with the bird even though I liked the wing spread and eye contact.

Since it is very cold here -28 C (-19 F) and a wind chill of -38 C (-34 F) with grey flat light, I spent a good chunk of my afternoon playing with this image. I used the healing brush in photo shop set for "sampled source" and "replacement mode"

Maybe I am just following the advice of decluttering guru Marie Kondo by getting rid of the things that don't bring me joy.

I like the result even though it is not the image as taken.

I put the original in the first comment box.

I really am interested in getting opinions from contacts regarding post processing as it relates to wildlife photography. Are there ethical limits? Is this kind of image manipulation cheating or is this part of the art? Is this even an issue?

Anyway, any thoughts you have are welcome.

We have never been so eager to decorate for the holidays- but this year, we couldn't even wait until it turned December!

Our rule was "not until after Thanksgiving"- so here we are- all holiday spirited and stuff.

We still have some cleaning and decluttering to do.

Blythe has filled my life for 4-1/2 years! I love the big-eyed doll and what she has done for me. Lately though, I have had a complete turn-off by the people in the hobby. So my down-sizing is slowly beginning. I have sold off probably 50 doll dresses in the past few weeks alone, and it's hard! We all have our addictions, and this one is a hard one for me. Between the clothes, my Sweet LY girls and toys, it's just time. We are also down-sizing our personal collections and furniture at home. I guess turning the big 50 is scaring me - that comes this Sunday...........

Here is another one for Ms. Cheeky's Workshop for week #2 - composition - decluttering using dof. I'm not sure if I need to show the wider dof view of this or not as well, so I'll put it up a little later...when I can figure out how to add additional photos in the comment section. I know I'm a little slow at these things sometimes.

while decluttering the garage I unearthed a box of slides and flicking through these slides a few well forgotten ones grabbed my attention so I put them aside for digitizing and among them this one which looked to me delightfully slidy and decidedly non digital , no silly filters required, no trickery to make it look old and grainy, it's already is :-)

the scene, I have no clue, I suspect it's not Moscow , it can be Baku (Azerbaijan) as a guess, late 80s ..

As a food photographer I usually spend much of my time taking pictures in restaurants however currently there are very few opportunities to take my usual photographs! In my case things are all the more acute in that I have to endure my own personal 3 month lockdown following open heart surgery at the start of March. So, what to photograph? I could take some shots of my culinary creations and I may in the end be reduced to that but for now I thought that I would start sharing some of the details of my kitchen. You will quickly begin to realise that I am not an advocate of decluttering and instead positively revel in clutter with each piece having its own story and frequently a fishy or a Portuguese theme and sometimes both. The prawn and the seahorse live in one corner of the kitchen on top of the microwave.

it took me THREE days to dust, vacuum, polish, dust and rearrange this room.I like how it is turning out.

This his a repeat of an earlier posting. I need new inspiration!

I know, decluttering or neatening can be and often is overwhelming. Especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. My Aide, Heather, insists I make three piles, the third pile being

'3. Not Sure'

Here is my shortened process:

1. Discard Now!

2. Must keep and I know where to put it (30 second limit to think of a place or it goes to the Discard Now pile.)

Much to my surprise, I have discovered that once an item is discarded, I never regret or miss it. And it feels so good to have a completely decluttered area‼️🌹

At Leverett Junction, things can become rather clogged fairly easily. In this case, three trains rolled in at once - a southbound intermodal (Q196 I believe it was?) came into the yard, but it was so long that it stuck out onto the mainline. The light power of CN G889, hosting CN5673 and the star of the day, IC2466, was then stuck riiight behind them, literally sitting hardly five car lengths away. Behind them, back at Leverett itself, sat one of the U700-type coal/coke trains. The radio was starting to fill up with annoyances until the supposed-Q196 finally got out of the way and let both of the other trains pass by.

Only barely visible as little more than a red smudge in the distant haze, the DPU on CN2976 was none other than CN3300, the first of the new C6M rebuilt project. Its class will be taking over the Iron Range in the coming months if all goes according to CNs grand plans, displacing the old EMDs and GEs that roam up that way. My trip up there is still a little ways off - we're cutting it close. Seeing that flash by below us was a stark reminder of that.

Decluttered self-care products in the bathroom.

Just the lip balm remains.

Of course hygiene products like soaps, toothpaste etc are still there, just the non-essential things, like make-up, lotions etc have been decluttered.

They are not missed.

It feels light and good.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Crazy Tuesday is made of wood. Mr. Teddy Bear is on vacation this week, but don’t you worry he will be back next week for sure.

I don’t know why, but lately my social media accounts are overflowed by all those reels and tiktoks with Cristiano Ronaldo… Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind at all seeing some very athletic and not ugly men running after a ball, looking handsome… By all means, I’m not made of wood… But why me ? I never clicked or liked a « soccer » video on my feed…I’m happily married (ok, my husband isn’t a soccer player but he is very handsome !!). My knowledge of soccer is almost non existent. I don’t know any soccer player by name (except Cristiano obviously … but that is only because of tiktok). I never, ever in my life watched an entire soccer game … However, I remember my Dad and his brother, jumping and screaming like there is no tomorrow: GOAL !!! GOAL !!

It was during the game of 1976 Olympics : Poland vs DDR…and I’m not kidding : the ground was shaking in Poland during that game…since all Polish men were screaming and jumping at the same time …So here you go: my today’s picture is a tribute to all the soccer players … even those made entirely (ball included) of wood !

I’m rather busy right now with all the decluttering and my personal life. It is very possible that I will not have enough time to answer all your comments … So comment at your own risks !!! I apologize for that and I will try to catch up as soon as possible.

Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! Have a beautiful day !

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!

A trip to the tip at Alloa to dump off loads of rubbish from clearing out my Mum's stuff, and general decluttering provided a surprise with this young Osytercatcher chick getting shown the ropes by its parent, just by the offices

Some of you know that I have been down-sizing. I've actually sold off alot on ebay believe it or not, however, I am very overwhelmed, and still have these 2 large cubby holes, and 2 drawers full. Does anyone seriously have any suggestions for me on how to part with things you have loved and collected for 5 years?? If so, leave a comment below! It's quite hard, and I really do want less!

This challenge really made me think. I considered all the things in my life that deserve a resolution such as more walking, exercise, weight loss, healthy eating, decluttering, intellectual pursuits (painting, stitching, reading, learning French). But I finally decided that my attitude was the most in need of improvement so I resolve to take a more positive view of even the most difficult of circumstances. I hope this image captures my goal.

Here's a 'First/Lifer' bird behavior image for me - an adult cormorant bringing water back to young ones in the nest.... I always knew that birds bring food for their little ones, but it never occurred to me that they bring water, also. The adult threw its head around and sprayed and dribbled water for at least a minute while the youngsters twirled around with their mouths wide open. This year the summer heat is suffocating for all of us, so it doesn't surprise me, it's just that I had never seen it done like this. I have seen a cattle egret bring a leaf dripping with water to a mate who was sitting on eggs, and a woodstork bring a dribble of water to the nest but never a bird with lots of water in its craw like this. It is so hot here now that I see the birds perched on trees, just panting like dogs do.

My question for those of you who are familiar with this behavior, is this; do they bring the water for the youngsters to drink, to spray them and cool them off (not much of the water seemed to be caught by the youngsters) or to moisten the nest; or something else? Anybody know?

P.S. I have enhanced and decluttered this image to make it more understandable.

Just got an answer from Janet Holt Schettino on FB, excepted from 'All About Birds' "Double-crested Cormorant nests often are exposed to direct sun. Adults shade the chicks and also bring them water, pouring it from their mouths into those of the chicks."

Before decluttering, I hadn't realized that my wife and I had amassed so many flash drives over the past several years!

A June 1976 photo of hubby and me somewhere in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area - not sure if it's Minnesota or Ontario. Came across this photo recently as we've been decluttering and cleaning our house, getting it ready to sell. That and a bit of PT have reduced my flickr time, and now I'm traveling without a computer. Hope to get back more regularly soon. Thanks for viewing.

The picture was fuzzy and faded, so I scanned it to iPhotos on my desktop, then processed in jixipix aquarella and toned in pixlrexpress.

My newest thrift shop find - a VW bug that I just knew wanted me to take it home to photograph it. The art of Japanese decluttering says you hold something in your hand and if it doesn't make you feel good get rid of it...in my hand it felt good so thanks to whoever didn't want it anymore because it has a good home with me :-)

A bit of a rarity for me, sitting in the living room listening to music with a fresh coffee contemplating my navel, nothing to do but wait for a skip to be delivered to disgourge the masses of hoarding in the garages collected over the years before we can put our house on the market! And as a little interlude, a purple tulip, enjoy!

Decorating finished and the gardens have been through their winter tidy-up, we just await Phoebe to complete her "A" levels and get the grades. She now has three offers, Keele, Bristol and her favourite, Nottingham, to read Veterinary Medicine. Melanie and I have two more trips in the Spring to places we are contemplating the move too and then decisions decisions as to where? In the meantime it's just a matter of decluttering, and joining Estate Agents lists in the areas we are looking at, exciting times.....
