Picked up a couple lamps from IKEA. I'm finally startin' to slowly declutter this office. Picked up a Logitech VX Nano mouse as well.

I am desperately trying to declutter and tidy our house. Was having a go at the bathroom today and found this, so sent a picture to our family WhatsApp group to see if anyone used it or not so I could dispose of it. Both girls said no and then Lola said she thought that Dad might - he is bald, helpful. I am trying to get rid/recycle/charity bag at least one thing per day.

MIL is coming for five days. We have a tiny house, which means when company comes, I give my study up as a guest room (and I can't really complain about that b/c I am fortunate to even have a room of my own - dh uses part of our master bedroom as his study). My study has been in transition for about three months now, as I'm slowly redoing it. It is not done yet, and I've been living in chaos and mass disorganization (worse than usual) for awhile now. But I couldn't have it like that for MIL. So in addition to cleaning the house, planning menus, buying groceries, and just generally stressing about her visit, I attempted a major organizing and cleaning of my study (which is also my craft space).

I have learned the following:

1 - I have a lot of great projects either on the needles are ready for the needles that are going to be so awesome if I ever get to them.

2 - Judging from the amount of these projects, I'm guessing this will happen around 2011 at the earliest.

3 - I have a ridiculous amount of fabric for someone who currently sews almost none. Half of the fabric I'm not wild about, the other half I am mad for.

4 - Throwing things I don't know what to do with into my closet is a temporary solution at best.

5 - Moving all of that stuff from the closet into a big box that's now on my bedroom floor is probably only a temporary solution as well.

6 - It's possible my number one organization problem is indecision. I can't decide what to do with something, so I end up not dealing with it effectively or at all.

7 - for someone so disorganized and lazy, I can do a pretty bang-up job of cleaning up - once the pressure's really on

This is the main Workstation. It is an Ikea L shaped table. The plastic storage drawers are under the table.

At the far right corner, I have piled up the wire racks that can be hooked to any shelf.

Raisin bread, Nutella, and banana....yummy!

I did a little work on my 365 Declutter Challenge. I have some items in the donation box, and I organized a spot for the K-cups in the pantry.

The desk after my declutter session today.

Lots and lots of it. This is not even all of it. I have so many more boxes to go through! I want to find loving homes for everything. And, yes, I am charging shipping and such. Some stuff here will be tossed in as freebies with other purchases. I'll have a full list and mini site for it all later.

feel free to email declutter@jenncutter.com if there's something you want to make an offer on right now.

Desk, post decluttering. Note that I didn't manage to declutter the cat (though he's done some crash decluttering himself from time to time).

I am in Niagara and have been for a bit. I've been tending to my mom's home during the first four days here (redecorating the dining and living rooms, patching up and helping to declutter.) The work I promised to tackle is done and now we are set to unwind, visit, and take the boys around to places we knew when we were kids. I took my sons to Fort George National Historic Park in NotL yesterday as a start on my search to meet the challenge posed to me during my Get Pushed assignment. Fort George is significant as a point of conflict in the War of 1812, know as the Napoleonic Wars in the rest of the world, wherein the US failed in its one and only attempt to to put its doctrine of "manifest destiny" into practice into effect over British North America.

ADD & paper clutter seem to go hand in hand and I've been buried under it for a long time. Every time we sit down to eat at the dinner table, we have to push some papers off to one side, or take one pile and put it on top of another pile, or move a pile (or two) from the table to some other place that it will clutter up. No, I'm not proud of this. I hate it. It is very stressful. But every time I try to put some sort of organization in place, it seems to fail. I got cube organizers with fabric bins and that helped A LOT because a lot of the stuff that built up "To File" could just get slipped into a cubbie. It wasn't perfect, but it was a major improvement. The problem is that we just have so much paper coming into the house that really needed to be organized in some logical & safe way (like financial stuff) or the boy's schoolwork (I want to keep samples to document his progress) or artwork that I really want to keep.

I spent a LONG time going through piles today. Lots of scanning. Lots of throwing out. Lots of shredding. I'm not done. Once I've tackled all the visible paper clutter there are those fabric bins and desk drawers and file folders. But damn, it's almost like I can breath again. And that feels really good.

I bought this Sept 16, 1996. I am selling it on ebay.. to declutter.. I have owned this for a crazy long time.. as weird as crystal pepsi

I'm loving my new rolling mill!. David made me a stand for it. I just need to add some weights to the bottom for now. When we get a house of our own I'll be able to secure it straight to the floor.
