Very interesting ! So I wonder of those who hate Christ truly and surely and all Christians, rejected God and any notion of the God head, are they the children or generation born human but of the fallen nature of the nephelims. As there are just people who are like that. They try to justify themselves according to intellectualism and all sorts of bravados to discredit the truth of God. Very intelligent almost like demonstrating extrahuman capacities, " men of reknown" , ha ... generation of the fallen, maybe . This made me wonder. The chaf and the tares ?
Maybe we are getting very close to the time, just be ready and be saved in Christ for those who are seeking but haven't done a commitment to Him ! Jesus' Salvation is free of charge, He paid it all on the cross, so people will be set free . All these things happening are already written and declared, the Bible speak of them in many prophecies. Damascus, Syria into ruinous heap ( Isaiah 17 ) and the drying up of the Euphrates is just one, now it dried up happening within the same time frame as was told. Look at Israel, all for Psalm 83 in countdown to its fulfilment in our face to happen sooner.
Try to read the Bible if you haven't and asked the Lord for wisdom and understanding.

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse occurred in the late morning through late afternoon throughout the United States. Given the distance of the moon from the Earth, the longest period of totality was in Mexico, where totality lasted 4 minutes and 39 seconds. For this event, based on satellite imagery loops showing high clouds advancing into the Midwest, I chose a park just north of Vincennes, Indiana, next to Fort Knox II, to avoid the massive crowds...and to be able to leave quickly...and to be able to head further northeast or southwest if it was still cloudy there. Totality here was 4 minutes and 8 seconds. The good thing was that we were right on the totality path center line.
The band of totality was 120 miles wide, or 50 miles wider than the 2017 eclipse; everyone else outside that band saw a partial eclipse.
At 3:04 PM ET, the moon completely eclipsed the sun at my location. Here, you can see two of the three parts of the sun's atmosphere. The chromosphere can be seen as little protuberances of red jutting out; this is superheated hydrogen burning off. These are called "Bailey's Beads", and are about 6,000 degrees Celsius.
Of course, the most prominent outer part, the corona, is clearly seen with white-colored streamers and protuberances (the red fire spewing out in multiple locations). The temperature of these is around 3.5 million degrees Fahrenheit (2 million degrees Celsius, or slightly hotter than a McDonald's cup of coffee). When this ionized gas cools, it becomes the solar wind, which usually blows past Earth at around 300 km/s, unless a flare or coronal hole occurs; then, it can be up to 3 times faster.
The event was a surreal experience. For over 4 minutes, robins headed for their nests and stopped chirping; a cardinal sang it's dusk/dawn song. Nocturnal bugs came out. A utility house for the park had it's security lights come on, as did every streetlight. Meanwhile, on all horizons, sunshine was visible on clouds, even as stars shown overhead. However, the sky was darker for this one as the band of totality was nearly twice as wide as the one in 2017. The temperature dropped over 10 degrees. A loud, audible gasp and cheers were heard from those in the park as totality started, followed by silence, followed by cheers and yells as the "diamond ring" appeared, signaling the end of the totality phase.
Finally, notice my camera settings. That's right: ISO 1600. That's how dark it was...and I had taken off the solar filter on my camera to accomplish this shot.
This may be the last total solar eclipse I see before I pass away...as the next one in 2045 is a long ways away, as is the next one around Illinois and Indiana, which will be in 2099.

Fanned by very strong winds, a wildfire is ripping through the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, California. With the city declaring a state of emergency, tens of thousands of people are evacuating as the out-of-control blaze continues to spread rapidly. Officials warn that the situation is likely to worsen.
This image captured by the Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission vividly depicts the smoke billowing from the fire near Santa Monica at 10:36 local time on 7 January 2025, not long after the fire broke out. The blaze has since caused widespread damage and concern.
The image has been processed as a false colour composite that blends the true colour with shortwave infrared bands of the mission’s multispectral imager.
Two other fires around Los Angeles are also growing fast: the Hurst fire north of San Fernando and the Eaton fire in Altadena.
The Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission is based on a constellation of two identical satellites, each carrying an innovative wide swath high-resolution multispectral imager with 13 spectral bands for monitoring changes in Earth’s land and vegetation.

Do you have a bucket list? My friend Yucheng Bai does. High up on it was his desire to see the Milky Way, “was” being the operative word. My wife and I had three Chinese students in tow for several days wandering around the mountains of North Carolina in some of my favorite haunts. We had some good hikes Saturday and that night was looking good for open dark skies. After an excellent homecooked Chinese feast at the house we had rented, we cleaned up the dishes and headed to Wiseman’s View in Linville Gorge. It was still twilight when we got there, so we waited out the darkness… and the sky did not disappoint!
That’s Yucheng in the lower left in the image, with Hawksbill and Sitting Bear Mountains in relief, doing his best to burn the Milky Way into his mind. Both he and Jesse are doctoral students in theology at Duke University… likely for the first time in their lives, what King David wrote in Psalm 19:1 finally made sense, “The heavens declare the glory of the Lord; and the firmament shows His handiwork.” Even the lights from distant West Lenoir had to give in to its magnificence. I pointed out not just the Milky Way, but also constellations, individual stars, Saturn, Jupiter, satellites… and most everyone saw meteors. There is a small meteor streak evident just below the brightest part of the Milky Way in this shot.
We ended the evening around a roaring fire taking lessons from Joyce on how to prepare S’mores. We talked the night away while continuing to watch the stars wheel away from the limited space under trees back at the house. Jesse’s wife, Shengjie (aka Sophia), asked me what the best thing I had seen over our time there was. Easy answer: “The best thing I’ve seen is the wonder on my friends’ faces as God’s glory in creation unfolded before them at every turn.” I have loved these folks for quite a while, yet, somehow this weekend, I came away loving them more as my brothers and sister in Christ. So how was your weekend?

at that height i had a tough time getting near it. bright sunlight prevented me from using liveview. kneel, squat .. nothing worked. i had to sit down on the hot tarred road to get this shot
i had seen it from outside & even bought flower bouquets from their road side sales, but this was my very first visit into the gardens & surely not my last
yes, the collection is very good if not great. what i liked best - no bar on photography, you just have to declare your intent & show your gear to the guard. only wish the place had some tea / coffee dispensers

I declare my Cosplay Project finished. Erm almost, have to make a couple of adjustments. There's so much wrong with it I don't know where to start, but its certainly been a (very long) learning experience,
I was always nervous for these nine storey trees next to the building, I foresaw that someday, someone would declare, it was too dangerous, the trees are sick, the shadow, etc. etc. And in 2018 I noticed (other images) that they really had disappeared. Now, logic tells me that they "are no more". I mean how would it be possible to unroot the trees and plant them somewhere else. I am fairly certain that they must have been chopped down and cut in little pieces. Matter turned into energy...
Very sad. The other trees to their right,, nearer the street seem to be deleted too, but I have to go up that little hill another day to find out about the other trees.
Another tree has gone, and then another.

The debate is still on-going about whether it is an escapee or a wild vagrant who ended up here due to recent inclement weather in the east coast. The December issue of Ontario Birds, a journal of Ontario Field Ornithologists has an article by Mike Burrell where he gave very good reasoning of accepting these kind of vagrants as legitimate wild bird. This brave woman was one of several people arrested in Trafalgar Square for daring to peacefully resist the government's inaction on the climate and cost of living crisis. She had been participating in a "Just Stop Oil" demo, by sitting on the road, on the south side of the square and had been holding a placard declaring "We will not pay for greed."
Another activist explained his own interpretation of the placard - "We refuse to go hungry to feed your profits, we refuse to sacrifice our planet on the altar of greed."
This and other similar protests occur as a tiny corporate minority are profiteering from the surge in the oil price, inflicting misery on working families, and while also benefiting the government's backing for new oil fields.
The UK's mainstream TV network Sky News network reported in August 2022 that "the country has seen a huge spike in the number of people becoming billionaires." - Yes, that's right, a "huge spike" in the middle of the UK's longest decline in working families' living standards in 200 years.

The UK government claims that it doesn't have enough funds to support the NHS, the disabled, the homeless or working families who can't afford to heat their homes. It also explains its inability to take any of the steps desperately needed to avert catastrophic climate change, due to the supposed cost.
All the while it allows UK oil companies to profit from the Ukraine War by setting the maximum possible market price thereby plunging ordinary families into poverty. It also continues to allow individuals and corporations to hide their wealth in tax havens, hands out billions by propping up, via the Bank of England's open market operations, the assets of wealthy bond holders and it still privileges multinationals with the lowest corporation tax, by a significant margin, in the G7, and also in the G20.
According to the Just Stop Oil website, just a few days prior to when this photo was taken, a spokesperson for the activist group set out their demands -
“Rishi Sunak is about to U-turn on attending COP27. We demand that he also U-turn on new oil and gas. This genocidal policy will kill millions of people, while failing to address the worst cost of living crisis this country has ever seen.
“Its time for a serious windfall tax on big oil, without the get-out-of-jail-free tax credits that will encourage more oil and gas that we cannot afford. Vulnerable people will be freezing to death in their homes this winter, unable to afford a can of soup, while his government refuses to tax the rich and the big energy companies that are profiting from our misery.
“We owe it to our young people to stop fossil fuels, we owe it to our workers to create a just transition to a zero-carbon economy, we owe it to our old people to enable them to live with dignity. We are not prepared to stand by and watch while everything we love is destroyed."

The rooster has a special place in Thai culture as a symbol of good luck. It is said that it represents a moment when a cock fight changed the course of history.
Burma and Thailand had fought during the 16th century and the Thai Prince Naresuan "was taken to Burma after the capital ornate and gilded city fell in defeat to Burmese King Bayin Naung in 1564 and 1569. Ayutthaya became a vassal state as a consequence, and the Burmese installed Prince Naresuan’s father - King Maha Thammaracha (1569-1590) - on the throne. Prince Naresuan was subsequently raised in the land of his enemies as a type of collateral against future
uprisings. While still in Burma, Prince Naresuan proved himself as a skilled fighter with a keen sense of military strategy. With his complicated rise in power, a string of events provoked Prince Naresuan to shift allegiances and declare Ayutthaya independent once again."
The legend is that Thai Prince Naresuan wagered a bet with a
a Burmese prince that Ayutthaya would be freed from Burmese rule if Naresuan's rooster emerged victorious in the cock fight. Prince Naresuan's rooster won the bet, humiliating the Burmese prince in the process.
The ancient Hebrew king and poet wrote, "The heavens declare the glory of God...". He must of been one to enjoy the beauties of creation. That creation was probably the same as on this day when the Master Artist selected His canvas and began to show his masterful skills of creating beauty for us to enjoy. I stood in awe!
