It may be the only thing to love about December. I mean—besides Christmas and Hanukkah.
It was pretty astonishing. I'm getting ready to play secret satan (sorry, but my present to him/her hasn't arrived yet), so I was walking back and forth to get things and saw this. Everything has to stop to gawk at this. And then I couldn't take it anymore and grabbed my camera to shoot it from the bedroom window, over all the houses that mess with my photography.

Piglets!
Little piglets born on Tuesday 10th December, so just 4 days old today. Just so cute, all 10 of them
Amtrak 4, the eastbound Southwest Chief arrives in Fullerton, Calif., on December 28, 2012, behind "Phase IV" heritage unit 184 amidst a crowd of boarding passengers, railfans and onlookers.
The month of December has arrived and along with it, we still have a showing of color that was not wiped out by our recent storm.
Today's Festive Photograph features something a little unusual. Seen at the old crossroads by the Flouch Inn at Hazelhead is Baddeley Brothers of Holmfirth 56, a Bedford SBG with Burlingham Seagull bodywork. The driver is Frank Hinchcliffe and the photograph was sent in by John Hinchcliffe. What a coincidence.....
I think this is my first time ever using a "digital scrapbooking" item (the twill on the photo page, by Ali Edwards). Looks quite nice I think! But I'm still a little ... reluctant to using digital products because so many pages I see using them (or templates) look the same. I like mixing digital and analog scrapbooking though.
More about my idea and the foundation pages here.
The Full Moon for December is the Full Cold Moon, when the cold really starts to show up and doesnt' usually let go for months. As a bonus this month, there will be another Full Moon on the 31st.
This image was taken at the James C. Veen Observatory.

Little bit of a cheat with today's Pic of the Day, as it was on this date in 1926 that a copy of this photo was made...
Anyway, this is either Mr R. Grace of Davidstown, Kilkenny or the copy was ordered by Mr Grace...
Date: 21 December 1926 (ahem!)

Unfortunately after my long weekend, I still had to wake up at 7:30 and drive to the hospital to get my second HPV shot. Taking it like a trooper, obviously. ^
It hurts like a bitch to get, and my arm is very, very sore afterwards. Oh well, the price you pay for probably not getting cancer.

There's no leaves on the trees, but no snow yet. Cold and windy winter mourning. Time for black and white dreams...
The album is Maya Road 6 x 6.
I used a mix of papers, old and new...My Mind's Eye, The Girls Paperie, Making Memories, Webster's Pages, Creative Imaginations...
Most of the number tags are from Elle's Studio, including the large calendar.
I die cut the snowflakes from Doodlebug glitter paper with Sizzix snowflake die.
Let me know if you have questions....TFL ~Daniela
The little paper pocket with it's embellishments came from Melissa Phillips www.etsy.com/transaction/37359518
I added the 25 day tag from Elle's Studio, stamped 2010 on an inchie and the snowflake tag (Elle's Studio). I used the fabric that came in the little kit and cut a tree out and tucked it under the little bag pocket.
I have always loved winter, but many friends and family members are happy to mark this shortest day and see the earth begin its slow trek to longer daylight hours - in the northern hempisphere, that is.
