A save the date is a notice stating the date of a significant event such as a wedding. It is typically sent to those likely to be interested or affected by the event and states the planned date of the occasion so that recipients who wish to attend know to keep that date free. Whilst some people choose to send a save the date notice, other couples might just advise friends and family verbally
Dating from 1286, as can be seen by a sign above one of the doors.
Astonishing that such old buildings still stand, and in ordinary use (this is still residential)

Lalang Saging singing a traditional Kenyah song to visitors. 'The individual sings with a large chorus which begins, intersperses thruougt, and concludes the song, with full major harmonies. There is much repetition of song-words for ending the line, which may or may not have meaning relevant to the song (bulan, kanan, etc.), generally to aid rhyme and bring the rhythm of the line to a satisfactory closure. The end of most greeting.-drinking songs is 'wei-wei', accompanied by the drink offering in the guest's honor. The suket are the drink-offering songs, the kanerok and tekena the hero songs. (...)
Such songs are extravagant in praise of the visitor and in humbling the singer by comparison. The phrases build far from the original premise before dropping back to the stem from which they had budded, again to flourish into another extravagant simile. (Sarawak Museum Journal Special Monograph 2 Kenyah and notes on Kenyah song, p. 1188)

Dating - might as well just permanently wave a red flag in the air due to not having any time available for dating (since I am never available for Fri or Sat night date nights or weekends in general) due to work and family commitments and save all the second guessing.
At least that way women can just bypass me by default and there's no need to pretend to share any interest in each other. Problem solver!
Brooke Snow's Advanced Pro Workshop (Feb/Mar 2011):
This is a couple who is dating and I had them write the first thoughts they had about each other down.
Unknown photographer; estimated date. The phone box belonged to the company A.E.T.E. [Ανώνυμης Ελληνικής Τηλεφωνικής Εταιρείας] set up in 1929 and mostly owned by Siemens. OTE was established in 1949, partly with US funding from the Marshall Plan.
The phone box itself seems to be similar to one in Thessaloniki (see next photo www.flickr.com/photos/athens_greece/53628873465), and most certainly the logo of AETE is visible on both photos (halfway up the door). During the German occupation, and especially during Dekembriana, the telephone system of Greece was completely destroyed.
At the time of these photos, the provision of phone services was exclusively for the rich and powerful -- hence the unusual provision of a public phonebox in Kolonaki Square. The date is estimated as early to mid-1930s, judging from the numerous cars in the photo.
Uncertain copyright status -- may be orphaned public domain.

St Peter's at Dunchurch is an impressive red sandstone building dating largely from the 14th & 15th centuries, but rather restored in the 19th. It's impressive west tower changes colour in it's topmost stage and has a richly detailed parapet (sadly the carvings are worn, as is it's otherwise fine cusped west doorway).
The interior of the building is somewhat dark, due both to the colour of the stonework, and the mostly Edwardian stained glass (it's east and west windows are by Bryans, and often mistaken for Kempe's work). It feels like it has been stripped of much of it's antiquity, and this is attested to by the few fragments of the once fine medieval woodwork, stalls and benches all lost by the end of the Georgian period, with only five architectural panels worked into the more recent furniture in the chancel. otherwise the furnishings are all Victorian. There is an intriguing Baroque tablet in the north aisle with it's central inscription flanked by open marble doors, suggesting the entrance to a tomb.
A further ancient feature removed from the church has survived; the east window's fine 14th century geometric tracery remained in place until the late Victorian restoration when it was replaced with the present design. The old tracery was preserved and is now in the entrance hall of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, where thousands of visitors walk past it each year, though likely very few ever notice it!
This church's tower is one of the most familiar anywhere to me, being a regularly seen landmark throughout my childhood, growing up in nearby Rugby. I even climbed to the top of it in 1992 via the scaffolding it was then shrouded in, whilst getting some experience cleaning the west window.

A hillside earth god shrine in Li Po Lung Path, Kennedy Town. Largely destroyed by torrential rain in June 1966, the shrine might trace its origin to the 1894 plague as with the altar at Sheung Fung Lane. Between the 1940s and the 1960s, there were regular celebrations held annually in the nearby Hau Wo Street where puppet shows were staged and sacrifice offered.
