We went out to Bing's in Walnut Creek for a retirement/40 years of service party for one of the hub's co-workers. We had so much fun...Bing's is an old Hollywood dream, with big velvet booths and lots of memorabilia, basically heaven for an old movie lover like me!

The first biosphere reserve in Vietnam
Official name: Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve.
The date approved by UNESCO: January 21, 2000.
Administrative boundary: Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh city.
Zonation:
- Core zone: 4 721 ha.
- Buffer zone: 37 339 ha.
- Transtion zone: 29 310 ha.
Total: 71 370 ha.
- After totally destroyed during the war, the mangrove is rehabilitated as seen as the most beautiful in the Southeast Asia.
- Mangrove species have a gene pool to adapt the severe condition flooded in tidal water and muddy soils in coastal zones. Other plants can not survival in these conditions.
- The mangrove is ‘a green lung’ for the Ho Chi Minh City, industrial zones and surrounding areas.
- The mangrove is supporting nesting, nursering and feeding areas for juveniles of aquatic organisms and endangered birds and mammals.
- Support the place to educate revolutionary tradition, patriot and nature appreciations, enviromental ethics as a living laboratory for scientific research and initiation of future generations.

Dating these is difficult because they were made from leftover parts. Most seem to have been assembled in 1969.

Vintage styled Save the Date for a couple getting married in the Nation's Oldest City- St. Augustine, FL. This didn't make the final cut.
I did a mini shoot for a friend who wanted a photo to use for their Wedding "Save the Date" cards to send out.
The wind wasn't something we factored in when we discussed the date sign... only one photo out of about 100 had the numbers perfectly aligned. I had to reacquaint myself with Photoshop for this one!
