At long last, it's finished! www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCVfPjpE_GI

I'm sorry this took so long, but there was a point half way through where I was really lacking motivation. Also, this was my first time using a Nikon D3200 in an animation (other than one or two scenes in previous videos), so there was quite a steep learning curve. Anyway, I'm happy with how this came out and it was a good way to try out my DSLR. Feedback is appreciated!

“What is Creative Mondays?

Monday’s are always a drag. The start of a new week, you have to go back to that routine of going to bed early/get up early. If (like me) you have to commute then you prepare for that long journey into work and that long journey back for the first time after a nice two day break.

So to kick off those lousy Mondays, I’m going to get my creative mind flowing in a positive way. Creative Mondays. A chance for me to show off something unfinished or finished that I’ve been working on throughout the previous week.”

With the Daredevil television series being released just this last week on Netflix, I figured it would be a good time to post my silhouette design of ‘the man without fear’. I haven’t caught the series yet but from what I’ve been hearing it’s sounding pretty good. Gotta be better than that Ben Affleck film right?

Special thanks to Jerac for helping to build this model. Thank you!

I would also like to thank Eero Okkonen for inspiration in creating a head for this model. He wouldn't be the same without it!

Hope you like the model!

This week is turning into a week of Super Hero repeats.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was just a kid playing outside. I wandered somewhere I probably shouldn't have. There were these kegs all over the place. I didn't know what was inside them though. The sun was blazing that day and I was so thirsty. I did what any idiot kid would do and opened the valve of one of the kegs to see if water would come out. Oh how I was wrong. Instead of water a warm green slime shot out of it. I tripped and knocked over more of the kegs.. They broke open and started spewing the slime too. The slime was all over me and in my eyes. I couldn't see anything just darkness. My skin felt weird too. Some guy came running over and dragged me out of the slime. Thats how I went blind. It wasn't all bad though all my other senses were enhanced. If this never happened to me I would be a normal man, one that paid bills, went to work, and all that. Instead I'm a superhero. I've worked with the Avengers, and even helped save the world once. My names Matt Murdock and I'm the Daredevil.

Wizard Cover #135 Daredevil and Elektra Just before the DAREDEVIL movie was to be released, Wizard asked me to do a painting of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner as everybody's favorite super hero couple, Daredevil and Elektra. This was a real treat because I had recently been informed that my original painting of Elektra in a black leather outfit was the inspiration for Mrs. Garner's costume in the movie! The deadline was harsh, but somehow I was able to find the time this illustration would need--sleep is highly overrated anyway.

This massive landslide area, directly across the road from the entrance to arches, is being used as an epic tobogganing/sledding ride by a bunch of kids and their parents. I counted 14 of them on the slide, plus 6 more on the ground.

The two long tracks from upper right to lower center (left side/full image) were made by the two kids nearing the bottom of the hill, who apparently rolled all the way down.

Someone stomped out the word "cop" (?) and a heart on the upper left side.

The right side is an insert enlargement (of another frame) of the "launch pad". I totally lucked out in capturing one of them in the moment he flung himself into space.

This is Evan. He's my buddy icon's little brother. He's a risk taker ... has been since before he could walk. I think he's found a new outlet for it: zip-lining!
