Unfortunately I haven't finished this trailer recreation yet. It's proving difficult to find the motivation to do it, because I don't enjoy using my DSLR for stop motion much, because I find it more restrictive than my webcam, and also I'm really enjoying writing the scripts for my next Doctor Who series. I'm still determined to finish this though, because I'm happy with how it's turning out. I'd say I'm just over half done and that it'll be out in about 2 weeks. Up until now I've been using my macro lens, so I might have a go with the kit lens and see how it feels to use that.
The final weekly discussion is here! After last week, I was pretty disappointed by this episode. There was no overarching plot or villain in the episode and Gallifrey was unfortunately only in half of the episode, with Rassilon being underused, although it was nice to see him return. Although, now that Gallifrey is back (I think - I’m a bit confused about it) there’s room to have some more stories there, like in classic Who, which would be great. The big scene between the Doctor and Clara didn’t really affect me much emotionally, because she left the show two weeks ago and quite frankly I’m bored of her. I think a big issue Moffat has is letting a character stay dead, because having multiple departures for them takes away the impact, but that’s a different discussion entirely. It was an interesting twist making the Doctor forget Clara, but I’m not really sure what to think of it right now. The ending set up for either a future return of Clara and Me, or a spinoff for them. Either way, I’m really not excited by the idea. I’d just really like to see Me return in future because there’s so many things that could be explored with her. Or even better, Jack could return, but it’s probably just wishful thinking.
Of course, that isn’t to say the episode was entirely bad, there were definitely some good parts. Some of the Gallifrey scenes were great, and there were some nice throwbacks to previous episodes set there. The classic TARDIS interior was beautiful and it was really nice to see it. I think it suits Capaldi really well. The cloister room (I can’t remember the name of it) was quite eerie and the set was very good. The Daleks, Cybermen and Weeping Angels felt unnecessary though. Me didn’t really contribute to the plot much, but it was just really nice to see her again. Finally, the visuals and cinematography were truly brilliant. There were some really excellent shots, like last week.
As a side note, I'm currently on episode 8 of Jessica Jones and I'm still really enjoying it. I'll post something about that when I've finished the series.
If you're going into a hazardous mountain region, you better bring experienced people with you. These two mountaineers are as experienced as they come. All locked and loaded (for climbing) they're ready to scale any rocky surface!
Evie went on her first hike this weekend. She did so well on the 2.5 mile Lakeside trail at Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport. I told her we would put her on the end of this log so I could take a picture of her to scare Mommy. She just got through saying "how is this going to scare mommy" when i snapped the picture.

I don't know what it is about Daredevil, but shooting him really brings out the creativity in yours truly. And hey, it helps when I'm a fan of the figure.
Do any specific action figures / characters bring out the creativity in you? If so, let me know in the comments.
Have fun, and happy collecting!
Daredevil, he was pretty hard to make , the horns were sculpted with green stuff, this is completely my own design, as I said, thinking of calling it, Ace-Verse, I think I'm sticking with that, what do you guys think?
