God told Israel how to build the sanctuary where His presence would dwell - He now dwells in our hearts and like Israel, we are given a pattern whereby our hearts are to be sanctified and transformed - to be like Jesus.
"Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you." Ex.25:8, 9
"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?" 1 Cor. 6:19

In today’s Bible reading we’ll see Israel, conquered and devastated by the Babylonians. Israel was experiencing the consequences of their decisions and sin. However, God gives them a message of hope in the middle of what seemed to be a hopeless situation. He tells Jeremiah that their captivity would last 70 years, but He had a plan. He would redeem and restore them.

Two big goals for me involve both physical and spiritual health. Over the last year I've read a daily devotion but this year I want to add time in the Bible to that daily routine. For my physical health, I also have to establish a daily routine of exercise. I've decided to consider it a privilege to be able to exercise - it's a gift that I haven't been giving myself. Time for change!

"Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered." Ps. 32:1
The Greek word for "Forgiven" is charizomai - which means "to grant forgiveness, to pardon, to show favor, to give graciously, freely bestow, to restore."
We all sinned and owed a penalty we could not pay (Rm.3:20-23; Gal.3:11; James 2:10)
But Jesus offered Himself the ransom for that penalty so we could be restored, FORGIVEN, the record detailing our faults destroyed (Ps.103:12; Isa.43:25)
In today's Through the Bible reading we find David in the middle of SIN - buried in guilt, condemnation, and consequences. BUT...God, who is rich in mercy allows David's heart to find repentance and extends forgiveness.

1245pm every day, gregorian chants of worship, we arrived there in the nick of time to witness this 500 year old ritual in the chapel of sant antimo. Nestled off in the foothills of Montalcino, the abbey survives only by the grace of God. Barely a handful of monks adhere to this daily devotion: antiquated, sentimental and without place in this modern world, perhaps by many and a sideshow, by many, I think not.....I felt the presence of God strongest, in this very humble chapel
Jesus is the very essence of the Scriptures - He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, King of kings and Lord of lords, our Savior and Redeemer! The Old Testament points to Him and the New Testament reveals Him. So there's no doubt that we would find Him here in the book of Psalms!
Take a look & see Jesus our Redeemer as you read through Psalm 22! David had never heard of death by crucifiction, he didn't know how the coming Messiah would save them, but he did know that there would be a Redeemer (Gen. 3:15) and inspired by the Holy Spirit spoke of things to come. AMAZING!
