9 broken ribs, collapsed gallbladder, lacerations to my upper and lower leg. my lungs and liver too, clots on my spine, liver and left leg and mind blowing pain. 9 days in intensive care, 1st 4wks on special K, 5 initial months in hospital and by the time two years had past, I'd spent 55 wks laying in a hospital bed. The Countess of Chester, Aintree, The Royal and Broadgreen. I've since given up counting the weeks I spend in hospital and considering the amount of operations I have left to go...
The joys of motorcycling, huh? Still, that XJR was a dream to ride.
North Wales Police said they didn’t investigate the accident because where road traffic accidents are concerned they only investigate after there has been a fatality. So as I nearly died on the day and in theatre, by the time the Police look into anything all evidence of road layout/obstruction and witnesses would have long disappeared.

On a serious note, has anyone ever been in a relationship that has taken the wrong turn or seen your parents go through some bad times?
On Saturday, I was listening to “By My Side” by MitiS and a full scene played out in my head. It was so vivid, I kept replaying the song. It did help that the song was new to me and I really liked how it sounded. The more I listened to it, the more I got intoxicated by the idea of wanting to make a music video related to the song before I lost the magic.
(Can’t see the video? It can be found at youtu.be/DuwQDRkpJ18)
My hope is for it to be shared to someone who needs it, it being closure, or for one to understand that there are consequences of their actions.
Thank you for watching and #StayCreative.

For January's Monthly Scavenger Hunt.
It's been a while since I wheeled out a scary stuffed animal for MSH...
While I unpacked books and Richard recovered our kitchen countertop, the water company dug a huge trench outside in preparation for our new main.

I spotted this very special G4 Challenge limited edition Land Rover in Dunkeld in Perthshire. Coincidentally it was parked beside an old Series Land Rover, providing an effective contrast.
Background artificially blurred using Adobe Photoshop as it was cluttered and distracting.

Youth brass is alive and kicking
JOHN PAUL COLLEGE
By Liz Lock
JOHN Paul College's Katie-Jayne Boardman is one teenager who demonstrates maturity beyond her years when it comes to music.
The year nine student plays 1st Cornet in the school's Orchestra and Jazz Band.
The 13-year-old supports the Lakes High Jazz Band and performs regularly in the Rotorua Senior Brass Band.
Katie-Jayne also plays the flute and the piano which also demonstrates her enthusiasm for music.
Katie-Jayne is testimony that youth brass is alive and kicking in Rotorua.
She was recently selected to play her cornet in the National Secondary Schools Brass Band at the Upper Hutt Silverstream Retreat.
As one would expect, the competition to participate in such a prestigious ensemble is high, with talented students from around New Zealand auditioning.
As all high school students can apply, Katie-Jayne was competing against senior students.
However, Katie-Jayne's drive and ambition to succeed as a musician secured her a place in the band.
After a week of intensive rehearsals earlier this month, the brass band gave public performances around Wellington including The Cosmopolitan Club — Upper Hut and Bishop Viard College.
"It was awesome to play with experienced players and be able to compare my technique with theirs.
"It gave me even more confidence and helped me to realise what I can do with my instrument," Katie-Jayne said.
"It was cool to play in a large group of enthusiastic brass players.
"The sound was awesome," she said.
Watch out for Katie-Jayne in the up-and-coming Lakes High production, Yellow Beard — Monty Python.
Although small in stature, Katie-Jayne has got an impressive dynamic range.
It is wonderful to see a student expanding her musical horizons and finding new opportunities to develop her ensemble playing.
The music department of John Paul College is fortunate to have such a talented student.
The new Caernarfon Station seen under construction on 14th May 2018 in Caernarfon on St Helen's Road.
We went down to have a look at the old Caernarfon Station on the Welsh Highland Railway.
Unfortunately on the day of our visit (14th May 2018) there was no trains running that day!
The new station is close to the car park that we parked in near Caernarfon Castle.
Caernarfon's train station is taking shape with new planned opening date. The new station is due to be finished sometime in summer 2018.
Didn't look quite finished when I saw it!
It replaces a temporary Caernarfon Station that opened in 1997.

July 26, 2015 - This is the best little feline lover I could have ever imagined a cat could be.
I’m still trying to process the call from the vet….devastated....

I forgot how many photos I have of Siena. Just grabbed the first one that caught my eye as it's book gorup night. This project is so much easier than a 365!

The horrid rain meant I didn't get a chance to take proper photos of Helen and her dogs, but Fluff managed to sit still long enough for a few snaps. This is the "I can't believe you're leaving me look".
Fluff is quite an old lady now but she still remembers me when I visit.
August 30, 2015 - Never let it be said that a 30+ hour storm induced power outage will stop me from dealing with 30lbs of tomatoes that I intended to turn into several different pasta sauces.
Just as the fellow at the post office shop asked me "for security purposes" what was in my package, on the news stand I caught a timely reminder that hereabouts we still adhere to more traditional ways of being nasty.
Which isn't to say we can't be inventive.
It gets better: as per the headline and online article the Post reveals that the sheep belong to the suspect's cousin. Yee-haw.
Also - interestingly, it says online that arrangements have been made for a Welsh-language trial. I'm guessing it may become a high-profile one. Or then again, maybe not.

Day 350 of an Unknown Number
"Self-Enlightened"
Brains are about 29% fat, and are very high in cholesterol. So why are we eating them, people?!! I digress. My wife received this fiber optic brain light as a gift from her interns. You see, my wife is a brilliant neuropsychologist......and so she was gifted this brain. As soon as she plugged it in, I knew all of her years of studying had finally paid off. The brain turns several different colors, but red made the most sense to me. Because I knew I'd be shooting the brain with my phone camera (and knew I could not control the exposure), I needed to create a dark background for our subject. So, I surrounded the brain with black pillows, thereby eliminating any background distractions. By having the camera adjust for the exposure of the bright brain, any slightly overexposed portions of the image are underexposed. Thanks for taking a look!!

Day 308 of an Unknown Number
"Golden Breeze"
Who thought natural light could be so beautiful? A breeze was floating through the house, and I could not take my eyes off of the shadow of the curtains on the wall. I thought a long exposure might make it even more interesting, but there was TOO much light. I stuck a metallic mesh over the window at camera-left to cut the light a bit. I was then able to shoot a half-second exposure without blowing out the whites. I loved the texture of the curtain, but thought the long exposure would add some depth to the image. Thanks for breezing through!!

After a gorgeous walk around Virginia Water Lake this morning with Jo, I came to stay in London for a few days for work.
Very cold & a bit breezy! Lens kept getting covered in spray.
Will be back in slightly calmer & hopefully warmer, conditions.
I'm feeling relieved we came home from Orlando when we did as it seems to be experiencing its share of sad problems. We have Lila and Olivia visiting - fun!
It was snowing pretty hard. I let the dogs out to potty. They were back at the door in less than two minutes, patiently waiting, and already covered in snow.
Wow, it has been awhile since I have posted on here, or on Flickr for that matter! I have some catching up to do!
I am lucky to have a flexible work schedule so I can do things like attend Maddie's final ballet class of the school year.
