Following the article in the Daily Post about my U Boat photo www.dailypost.co.uk/news/local-north-wales-news/porth-new... I was approached by a local farmer who told me that he had a pelton wheel turbine on his farm, whom his father had told him that the valve unit that opened the water to the turbine was from the U boat that was scrapped at Porthmadog in 1922.It was interesting also to see that the turbine had been built by O.G. Jones engineers of Portmadoc of whom I have never heard of !
Richard, Maddie and I attended a fantastic immersive performance of As You Like It in Savill Garden this evening.

After a day working in Casablanca, Morocco, my colleagues and I went to dinner at a fantastic restaurant called Al Mounia.

What a gorgeous morning! Too bad that by the evening the weather was so stormy that lightening hit the Staines train line and created havoc on my commute home.
We went to Ankerwycke to pick blackberries and wow, were they amazing. While there we hunted for some geocaches that eluded us before and found three of them! Very clever.
I'd love to meet the genius who had the idea to make this master sculpture and understand what in hell he was thinking about

Shhh, don't frighten them. This is a sight rarely seen in the wild, two baby Motorola 12C508As preparing to leave their nest for the first time. Sadly, with no guidance or protection from their mothers, many of the children never make it to their solder sites. Fifty percent of microtoddlers are wiped out by predatory capacitors within a day of leaving the nest.

We spent many hours today stripping the carpet edging and hardcore off this floor and pulling staples. The carpets are nearly all lifted now!
Mom and Dad have been such a huge help this week! Here they are doing laundry for me in the utility room and discussing the washing line Dad is going to install for me.

Our rubbish pile continues to grow as we expose more of our Georgian floorboards. Found some gorgeous wide planks upstairs today. They will sand and refinish beautifully. The electricians are nearly finished requiring the top floor and will move on down through the house. We are so excited!

For Dinosaur Week!
They were meant to be fighting but T-Rex and Carnotaurus seem to be secret lovers...maybe that's how dinosaurs died out. Interspecies breeding!
October 22, 2015 - At the end of five days on the Island it was time to catch the last ferry back to the mainland.
You can't find a payphone anywhere on land to save your life anymore, but if you need one while in the middle of the Georgia Straight, there is an entire bank of them on the boat.
Go figure.
We walked the beautiful Walk of the Gods to Bomerano, then came down an indirect route to Praiano. Total 25,600 steps and 11.38 miles. Amazing and tiring day.

What is ‘DTIYS’ and why?
Have any of you heard of the term “Draw This In Your Style?”
A lot of artists have been picking up on this concept over the past few years and it leaves some who aren’t involved in it asking “What is it?” and “But what is the point?”
I think it is simple to say that every artist in the world has had another artist they have been fond of either for their art style, color choices, concepts/layout, or just the way that they draw certain things in a portrait. This alone stems fans to either create ‘fanart’ or mimic what they see so they can learn to improve their own art skills.
Because social media is so powerful, artists are using this to their advantage to promote themselves as well as inviting the artist community to get involved. The rules are quite basic where the ‘host’ artist draws an original character and challenges ‘fan’ artists to draw the same character, but, the catch is, for that fan artist to use their own style to draw the host artist’s original character, which results in creating what is called a ‘collaboration’. A lot of times, these collaborations end up resulting in the ‘fan’ being recognized by the host artist and it can create an opportunity for them to work on art together again in the future, if they make a good enough impression.
If you have an artist that is your mentor, sometimes fanart is the best way to gesture that you like what they are doing more than colorful language. *Whisper* Just don’t forget to give credit where it is due.

“I have been following GabeVSArt for about a year now and he has really evolved his digital art style quite well. I like when he starts from nothing, has a concept in mind and the art takes on its own life” ~VixenMink
