First, I couldn't find my usual pen this morning. Second, I'm not having a great week and I tend to draw how I feel. Which is why I don't do this for a living.

We had torrential rain all day on Monday, and this dead maple tree along my walk to work was one of the storm's victims.

Today was our first day of our turkish language course. We need to take these ferries there cause the university is on the asian side.

I decided to take a slight detour, the long way around Greenlake. It adds ~2 miles (3.2km) to the ride, but it's much more scenic.

This picture doesn't really convey it at all, but there was a row of shrubbery on the far side of the pond at the farm that was shockingly, vividly purple. It was stunning to see amidst all the layers and textures of green around it.

Someone went through the guardrail completely this morning. It shut down all but one lane of traffic. This is me merging. And can I just say I think it's stinky for a GA state patrolman to sit just PAST the big wreck with his radar gun and clock people? I wasn't speeding, mind you, but I felt bad for the Escalade.

The other new addition—distracted drivers beware!

Here is the same location taken at the same time but one day later, with very different weather.
