"Hold the Dragon Stirs"
One of the Order of The Dream of Calling in Avalon.
Pearched high on the hill, he keeps a watchful eye on the Dragon asleep in the Cove. He is to make sure if it awakens the bonfire must be lit to warn all.

There are this strange menhir stone lines on the top of the hill near Kounov town. All sort of sizes from small ones to really huge ones. Nobody knows exactly what they are, but it seems to be some sort of ancient calendar for its resemblance with cardinal points and the sun and moon movements on the sky. So the stones lies there deep in the forest silent about their history in time. It is very strange feeling to walk over that place, where maybe some evil druids were walking long before us...
Built for the Brickstory 2016 contest.
This ended up a bit rushed and there are some things I would like to redo, especially that edge. If you have suggestions, let me know. The photo could use work too.

Taken just after my last posted shot (see below) but using a 2.5 minute exposure. I used a Lee 2 stop ND grad and a big stopper for this.
Druids Stone on Kinder Scout with the hills of Win Hill and Lose Hill marking the eastern entrance to the Vale of Edale in the background.
Had a nice weekend painting with old and new friends. Had some good talks about style and seeing all those fresh pieces were a good motivation to work harder!
Pikesville Maryland . The sun was low on the horizon casting golden shafts of light through the trees on the bank of the pond. Fortunately this Canada Goose cooperated and swam into the sparkling ripples.

The Hoovering Druid tour visited the Pontycymmer and Ebbw Vale branches in South Wales on the 4 April 1992. It was hauled by 50033 "Glorious" and D400 and are seen here about to pass under the Severn Bridge on the outward leg of the tour.
In the end, this was the only sunny shot I managed of the tour, as clouds soon built up.
Druids Bridge at Nostell Priory NT, it was built across the narrow head of the lower lake in the sixteenth century. It collapsed into the lake many years ago but was recovered from the silt of the lake bed and restored.
Every year since 2007, Avilion has held a Harvest Festival in September, and every year, there has been a parade of Avilion's finest!
